I seen the KFC thing too, I back PL. just because we are not as old as you are does not mean we do not know about those days...

Weepy, I was talking about how beautiful Kentucky was when I lived there. I mentioned how long ago it was implying I don't know how it is there now. How it got onto KFC is beyond me.  But, whatever.

Except for Louisville Lexington and the Cincinnatti suburbs, it is just like WV to me...

I suppose that's true. West Virginia is very nice also. I was impressed with the transit system at U of WV. Nice campus.

Lexington is pretty in parts once you get outside of the University of Kentucky area and more into the horse farm areas.

Always enjoyed the drive on I 75 from Lexington down to Knoxville, actually make that all the way to Chattanooga.

We lived in Abingdon VA for a couple of years, daughter was born there. Beautiful town that was with some really ugly people.

I am two hours out of Abingdon. Just like Princeton, lots of busnesses catering to interstate highway travelers..

Chattanooga is another town that seemed nice.

Chattanooga is a neat little town. Very historical with a lot of Civil War history. I am a history buff on that stuff and we took our kids to one of the battlefields.

I Like it. Mountains all around and all.

Go to Hawaii and they ask you if you want an ocean or mountain view. I say I'm a Jersey boy. Gimmy the mountain view.

I meant to go see the Gettysburg reenactment before I moved down here. I never made it. I like that sort of thing also. Well, there was always Valley Forge.

Hawaii is nice. I favored Maui myself.  Oahu was too much city like and touristy. The sidewalks roll up at 8 in Kauai. Pretty though. The big island looks like moonscape on the Kona side. But, it's fun there.

My cousins moved to Alaska. A picture was sent back of their cabin out in nowhere. They forgot about the marijuana plants growing in the background. Oops.     ;D

Chattanooga is one hell of an industrial city as well. In 1969 it was the most polluted city in the US with smog worse than LA being in a bowl like shape surrounded by mountains. I-75 at the GA line has been noted for some huge wrecks by fog...

I went in May, 2010. Was almost 90 degrees but felt great at Rock City, like 15 degrees cooler...We had some thunderstorms the whole trip...

Ionly been to Oahu in Hawaii. Honolulu was a slum and Hawaii Five O depicted that place very well. Wakiki (sp?) Beach was great and the mountains opposite from Honolulu was breathtaking. Amazing thing is it has interstate highways, H-1 H-2 and H-3..,

I agree. I never made it up to the north shore. It may have been a little more Hawaiian up there.

I remember driving up to Schofield on H-2 in a small car with large trucks blowing by proclaiming, welcome to paradise.

I didn't do much more than drive through on my way to New Orleans. It just looked like a nice place. It was a sunny day in the summer so I guess I missed the smog. That was about 18 years ago.
