Another restaurant that beats KFC in the locations it serves is Bojangles, based in Charlotte. Big deal in the Carolinas, Bojangles just came to WV about five years ago. They are better than Popeyes...
I think around here Chic-fil-A beats KFC.

The Chik-fil-a here in Princeton is in a bad location at a very busy intersection and can be difficult to get back on the road. I think their food is ok but I would never consider working there because of their closing on Sunday nor would I contribute to that company, I am a critic of Chik fil a business model....

It doesn't bother me that it is closed on Sunday but then I grew up in a time when all stores were closed on Sundays.

We both grew up around the same time and I grew up on blue laws too but I feel religion should stay out of business. Religion is a personal choice...

True but some of the stores were just closed on Sunday not due to religion but more of the fact that people stayed home with families on that day. To be honest, it wouldn't bother me if stores were closed on Sundays as I bet the CEO's of bigger chains stay home with their families on those days same as they do on Thanksgiving and other holidays that stores use to be closed on.

I love Princeton, always brought my wife and kids along when I worked that area. We would get a unit at Pipestem and I'd go out on business and they would have a great. We still some NA and folk art we purchased at the lodge.

Chick fil A has a wonderful business model, the franchisees are selected from within the company and can get their own store for as little as $5,000 total including  loan assistance, design, build and staffing.  No other business model in the entire nation even approaches  the Chick fil A concept imo.

OK, the founder and his son live at the foot of the cross__no Sunday hours, who gives a sht? Good food in a friendly polite atmosphere__kind of like an Amish place in Lancaster County PA except the food isn't near as good and there's no shoo fly pie.

I also think Chic fil A does a lot for Veteran's, not sure on that one but I think I read where they did or it may be up to that local one. Some of the Chic fil A's provide free month of meals for moms who have had babies.

We all got our opinions on such but when I once went to church, I went to Shoney's and ate...

I live about 20 miles from Pipestem but had not visited there since the 1980s, that area was mosquito and gnat infested real bad at one time as was Bluestone lake...

I miss having Shoney's around here. They had some kind of banana strawberry conconcotation that it helped when my mom had cancer that we could put her medication in and she would take it. Funny, how some things make you remember family.

Shoney's is a dying business that will go under within another few years, it is an antique business model itself at this time in the early 21st century.

You might be right on that, many businesses, restaurant and otherwise are in danger because they don't suit the millennials. Applebee's was mentioned in one study and also some of the "flesh food" joints, Hooters and such.

I disagree. I was trying to indicate how long ago it was when I lived in Kentucky. You picked on the KFC thing.

Pepsi and then YUM bought Pepsi. There are also large companies that own franchises for and  Popeye's, Church's and even KFC along with other brands Taco Bell and such. As I said earlier__confusing.

Here's what Teaman was talking about__independents with franchise rights to sell Kentucky Fried Chicken

Doofus Romney was amazed when a Wawa kiosk was demonstrated for him.
