Skillet Apple Pie Biscuits
8 frozen buttermilk biscuits
1-21 oz. Can apple pie filling.
1 stick butter
1/2 cup light brown sugar.
1TBSP. ground cinnamon
1tsp. Vanilla extract
1/8 tsp. Ground nutmeg
Preheat oven 375. Melt butter and brush on all sides of 10 inch cast iron skillet. Set rest of butter aside
Mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg until well blended.
Dip each biscuit into melted butter.
Sprinkle all sides with cinnamon sugar mix. Arrange side by side in skillet.
Pour apple pie filling into a bowl and cut. Pour in 1 tsp. Vanilla extract and mix. Pour over biscuits. Pour remaining butter over and sprinkle with remaining cinnamon sugar mixture.
Bake 30 to 35 minutes.
Glaze:
1/2 cup powdered sugar
2 to 3 Tbsp. of cream or half and half
Or you can do 1 to 2 tsp. Milk.
Mix together.
Drizzle over warm biscuits.
Serve warm.
