Yes, you could be charged in circumstances like this.
Especially if you had knowledge that a crime was going to be committed and did nothing to inform authorities.

Nothing illegal. There's a difference.

I'm more concerned about a judicial system going to hell than I an about Trump.
You might want to look up what illegal means as he has.

"...“Although Department policy barred you from indicting the President for this conduct, you made clear that he is not exonerated,” House Judiciary Chairman Jerrold Nadler said in his opening statement. “Any other person who acted this way would have been charged with a crime. And in this nation, not even the President is above the law."

Mr Mueller continued to make clear during his testimony on Wednesday that Mr Trump was not cleared of obstruction of justice, saying at one point, “The president was not exculpated for the acts that he allegedly committed.”

He also noted his team did not “address ‘collusion,’ which is not a legal term,” during his opening remarks. ..."

Everyone says above the law. A prosecutor doesn't exonerate anyone. One is innocent before any investigation or until proven guilty. He is exonerated before anything is started. The prosecutor failed to find any evidence a crime was committed. The law and the principle of our founding.

He addressed conspiracy and found none.

"...Former special counsel Robert Mueller told Congress Wednesday that he generally agreed that lies by Trump campaign officials and administration officials impeded his nearly two-year investigation.

Rep. Val Demings (D-Fla.) asked if other witnesses beyond those who were indicted during his probe into Russian interference in the 2016 election lied to his team of prosecutors.

"I think there are probably a spectrum of witnesses in terms of those who are not telling the full truth and those that are outright liars," Mueller responded, noting that it was fair to say there were "limits" on the evidence he could access as a result.

Denings followed up by asking if it would be accurate to say that "lies by Trump campaign officials and administration officials impeded your investigation."

"I would generally agree with that," Mueller said.

What was illegal?

All I heard was behavior, ethics, and so on.

Trump campaign officials lied and were charged. This group-think thing you have is troublesome. Kinda like N. Korea. When you commit a crime the whole family goes to the work camp.

And there is the spin we heard at the hearing, just now from trump's mouth, and will be hearing on right wing media and here on internet chat boards.

Extremely lame but that is the very best they have been able to manufacture, meaningless gobblety-gook intended to befuddle the less educated.

Seriously, this is a clue for republicans, if that is the best defense then you have lost. Save yourself, run away from the cult!

Not everyone has been charged, yet, and we have the evidence that trump routinely instructed his minions to lie.

You are going to tie yourself into a knot that the best surgeons will run away from.  Just quit while you are behind. Dump trump and put the interests of the USA first.

What's the charge? He wanted me to rob a bank and I said no?

Can you think about blowing up the White House and get charged?

It's not a lie until they lied.

Troublesome. Do we have to prove our innocence now?

A violation of ethics could be against the law.

Do you have any idea at all about how stupid you are making yourself look?  Or do you just not care?

Have you no self esteem?

There comes a point to admit defeat and cut your losses, you are there. Dump trump, after him there will be other sleazy republicans you can support.

"...Buck: "Could you charge the president with a crime after he left office?"

Mueller: "Yes."

Buck: "You believe that you could charge the president of the United States with obstruction of justice after he left office?"

Mueller: "Yes."..."

"...Rep. Lieu: "The reason again that you did not indict Donald Trump is because of the OLC opinion stating that you cannot indict a sitting President, correct?"

Mueller: "That is correct."..."

No he didn't, he continued to pursue his notes even after Mueller passed on an answer as did the little mutt from PA who bowed up to Mueller stating that he was a JAG who had been in over 100 military trials. Probably article 15's.

The Dem's lost the morning round but easily won the afternoon round__by a mile.

Key is that Mueller very clearly stated that the Russian's and perhaps others are continuing to attack the US via the internet while Trump continues to deny!

You don't go to a trial for an Article 15 unless you request a trial or court marshal. An Article 15 is a summary charge handled by the company commander.

Are you claiming that many convictions of Mafia Don's were in error?

Yes, when a "boss" directs an underling to commit a crime,, that is a crime.
You know that. Hell, I bet you have supported it on several occasions.
Why not now? What is the difference? Brainwashing by the cult? You sold your soul to evil? Recently took a severe blow to your head? What?

That was clarified by Mueller himself in his opening statement before the intelligence committee as noted in reply 24.

A hypothetical.

And yes, a president can't be indicted until he is removed from office by impeachment. It's the constitution and the reason behind the OLC opinion.

That's when the Mafia underling actually commits the crime he was directed to do.

Evil is when one is charged with having a thought.
