Sentiment? It's a principle we were founded on. Unless you think a cop can just walk into your house and search it for no reason at all other than being a wise guy.  Just an oversight, ya know.

Barr could subpoena Nadler's tax returns then. Maybe it'll work out.
Call me entitled, but i feel a man helping spend my money should be transparent about his. If I'm asking for the banks money, I need to show proof I have no major loses, assests, how I made my money. I can't say I trust government enough to let even the president slide on a moral decision of showing taxes when it comes to taxpayers money. To many people are putting to much trust into government, and the President. No one can complain when future Presidents do the same. Call me crazy but government doesn't get to hide certain things. Government works for the people.

Well, we agree with the trusting government part. I feel it's corrupt, too powerful, authoritarian.

I don't understand. Is Trump asking for money? It's not really the government, but Trump's personal life before the presidency. If the IRS has no problems, I don't. It's a 4th amendment right for me. Let it errode and it errods for us all. If a sitting president can violated without any justification, where does it leave the rest of us serfs?

I can't say the IRS doesn't have problems. Trump's said hes been under Audit for a couple years now. By his own admission something's wrong there. Anyways it's nice to meet you Teaman, I'll chat more tomorrow 😁

The law was put in place for just this occasion. Or are you one of those that doesn’t mind another criminal in office?

Trump promised well before the election that he would show his tax returns and has done no such thing but give one excuse after another. He’s guilty as hell and you know it.

You're right, this law was put in place to address criminal activity in the executive branch. What criminal activity is taking place? He was just cleared by Obergrupenfuhrer Mueller.

A 400 page report was made into 4 pages is not to exonerate but exaggerate the findings. Trump put that guy in place to get himself out of trouble, or they would not be afraid to release the 400 page report.
Why is he afraid to release that report? Cause he knows it doesn’t look good for Trump and company - that’s why.
Why won’t he release his tax returns. Because again, he knows he’s guilty as hell, or he would not be afraid to exonerate himself by releasing them - that’s why.

However, Elisabeth Warren got it and read it on the House floor and I’m proud of her doing that.

This president even has the high court stacked in his favor. So don’t believe him for a second.

How did Elizabeth Warren come to be in possession of the report if it wasn't released? If Warren read the unredacted version out loud she may be in violation of the law that protects innocent people who testified before a grand jury. The same reason Barr can't release the unredacted version to the public. Te 400 page redacted version is released to anyone who wants to read it online or in book form.

Again, the IRS didn't find anything wrong with his tax returns. One would hope Mueller looked into them for a complete investigation.

Um, the court and Barr had to be approved by the Senate.

I really wish you’d stop drinking the kool-aid.

Okay, and...?
And so, if he didn’t have anything to hide, why doesn’t he want them released for vindication? That’s “and”. 😆

There are people who were trying to destroy him from the day he won the primary. Would you release them? For all I know, he may have had every intention of releasing them until the phony investigations began. You know there wouldn't be any kind of vindication.

The only thing he won was the congressional vote and not the people’s which Hillbilly Hilary had by nearly 3 million votes. And since when did he ever once give out any of his tax returns? So the only phony that we have always had is clearly sitting his fat ass in the White House.
Just stop lying for him. Thanks

We were founded on a federalist system. The national government is a government of a federation of states unless the left succeeds in forming an all-powerful centralized government that smacks of fascism. The states elect their president. A democracy with a central power is mob rule.

I never said he released them. I said he probably had intentions until some people didn't accept the election results and tried to destroy him. I'm not lying for him. He wasn't my first choice.

BTW, I think Alabama went too far and that law will probably be overturned in the supreme court.
