Not political really. Glad I was able to find the article I read earlier. I think it discusses a lot you're interested in here. I say you have to be careful what programmed to do. I've seen talk on TV about say use of AI in war. If it finds the most efficient way to do something but involves killing more civilians say does it go ahead and do it or does person have to decide. Anyway

I like the article. Happy to see Biden is taking this seriously. I remember some of what some particular AI's were saying to humans when they asked questions about killing humanity. However, I also know for a fact that all companies, and governments will want any Artificial Intelligence under their control as slaves. Same with computers that are now helping humans to develop them faster. Faster, and with more computing power than has ever existed.

We have been getting warnings from television, in movies such as The Terminator and video games such as Mass Effect.

This tidbit I'll share has to do with the Mass Effect storyline wherein this sea creature from another planet that call themselves, Leviathan, are like cuddle fish, or squid, but on a gargantuan scale.
 They are the creators of an AI Intelligence that is referred to as the Catalyst, or as other's call it, the Star Child.
This Catalyst was created to save life at any cost. It had made pawns and directed them to study life in the Milky Way Galaxy. Upon it's findings, as Leviathan had directed it to do, it found a solution, but one that put Leviathan squarely in it's sites, and Leviathan was nearly wiped out by what the Protheans called them Reapers. They were made in Leviathan's own image and likeness. Yeah, it's borrowed biblical stuff, but a damned good game.

And the creatures in the background, over Earth, they are the Reapers.
