I can only turn them on or off for everybody not just for one person.

They seem to be working.   ???

No, Pete.
I simply want to utilize the features as stated above to attach one of these choices to the post that I am typing.
This feature has been disabled on My Account and I would like to know why..
Check your browser settings, as well as updates.  I use Safari, and my sh!t is so ancient, there are no more updates.  and the thing is only 6 years old!!!  Got a newer iPad...can't figure out how to post music, copy/paste, etc.  Totally different than a Macbook.

Good Luck, I.G.!

Thank You both Pete & Snafu for your help.
I have checked my browser settings.
I operate with Windows 10 with Microsoft Edge as my browser and it remains the same as what I first registered here with.
Initially, it was no issue but it appears to be now.

I'll try to send you both kisses later..
If you don't receive one - then it's still the "angry" face.  lol

I'm really starting to get pissed off here, Pete.
They are still "NOT WORKING" for me.
I just tried it again on my very last post to Cyg, but to no avail.

Please have Icno provide me with a solution that will actually work for me.
I try to copy & paste my choice and attach it to my post, but it still remains out there lost in outer-space.

Give me the step by step instructions on how to use these..
If that doesn't work, I'll contact the owners of this website to seek further guidance as to why mine have been disabled.

You control your own Smileys and Message Icons as does all members here, did
you happen to turn yours off by chance? You have an Admin button up by your profile
and messages click it and see if your settings are on. By the way I don't tell Inco what
to do.

I'm sorry you're having a difficult time with the emojis. I checked your account and it's set up on our end just like everyone else's. I have no idea why you aren't able to use the emoji or attachment feature. Personally I've never used the attachment feature but I have used the emojis.  :'( :-* :-\ :P ::) ???

I don't know if it makes any difference but under the post box there's a section titled "Attachments and other options" and under that there are several boxes. Are any of those boxes checked by any chance?

I'm sure we'll be able to figure out what the problem is but it might not be instantaneous. Please remember, this is new to all of us. In a perfect world, we'd know all the answers but as you're aware, this isn't a perfect world.

Agreed, Icno.

I think she might have the box checked; “Don’t use smileys”, and if this is true then she won’t be able to post emojis unless she has them downloaded.
Hard to say at the moment.

Thank You for your reply, Icno, and to the other posters as well.
I've done everything suggested here, Icno.
There is no "attachments and other options" under my post box.
Could it be my AdBlock Plus program that is blocking this feature?

Everything is enabled, Cyg.
I had a recent update take place for Windows 10 during the past few days, and that is the only change that has ever been done to this computer since first registering here..
Before this update, I had no problems that I recall..

Was your Adblock on when you joined? Could you possibly try turning it off to see if it works? I'm not sure if that's the problem or not. I don't understand why the option section isn't available to you. Do you by any chance have Attachments and other options with a + mark in front of it?

Like this + Attachments and other options If you do, click on the + mark and see what you get.
