Well, I had this computer since 1996! It always worked up until now. I hope I can get it going. I'm getting ready to take it apart, and see if I can get to the bottom of this problem.

Computers are great when they work.
I've gone through 2-3 maybe four and they are junked now... nothing but black screens... grrrr

Nothing lasts forever especially in the computer world, but they are good while they last. I'm due to get another one soon, just not ready yet. Do you use Mac or PC?

I use a Chrome Book... it is a Pad or maybe could call it a smaller laptop... it has a keyboard... so I guess that makes it a pad/laptop cross. I works perfectly for me.

Those are pretty neat and compact, good choice.

Mine is an "Acer Chromebook" from Walmart... I think it was under $300 but can't remember for sure... had it about six months. I researched first before buying and for the money it was the best deal... we bought two... one for each of us. It is super fast and does everything I want. It is a touch screen, but you can add a wireless mouse with the side ports.

I love ours... and it seems to be more secure from hackers and stuff on a chromebook... seems anyway

This is the exact model I have, and the Monitor is clear!

It dos he same exact thing as the one in this ideo, with a blinking question mark. I already had he hardrive replaced sev. years ago with added ram. It worked perfecty up until the other day. The Hard drive can't be dead.

I have the original software start up disc for it. But I can't get into the settings cause the disc says log, so I cant select the hard drive icon, can do anything. Have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I guess I will b packing up this computer and printer. I will try one more time to get it going, I'm still not convinced the hard drive is dead, something must be done to revive it, maybe CPR. lol
No, really, there must be a way to get it going again.
