You sent over 20 personal messages in an hour, I think there is a setting like that but that's not going to happen a lot.20 pm's a hour is a lot, one every 3 minutes.

Can you post the message you're getting so I can copy and paste and search it?

By default, 4,294,967,296 personal messages may be sent on a forum. Since this is a much larger number than the members you can have, it's unlikely you will ever reach it.
You asked if I would report it and so I have. I wasn’t told what thread or where to find it but I was sent a pic of the dumb icon and sent that with the PM to you the administrator of the forum in hopes you’ll find and deal with said problem. Thanks.

That’s because I was in communication with three posters and trying my best to sort it out, but I’m not so sure I’ve succeeded in my endeavors.
What an evening this has been.

It never bothered myself, or Princess Hey, but it did bother another who thought they were defending PH when they should have based things on the merits of any evidence provided instead of their own preconceived ideas. Now Jem might be out the door to never return.
Hope they’re happy.

I normally don’t do this but I feel some need to know when to hold their tongue and let the administration deal with any problems as they arise instead of jumping to conclusions and harassing another poster.

Have a happy a day tomorrow.

Something like this will not push me out the door. I don't understand why there were dumb icons on peoples posts from me ? I don't do that, and I was sent evidence to show it was me? But I did not do it, so I believe I was hacked 😑
I'm not a liar and never have been, and just maybe I clicked on something in error, but it was never my intention to hurt people on here, as they are lovely people. It was dealt with all wrong in my opinion. But hay ho 🙄

Thanks for this link, it does talk about the question mark thing, but I can't unlock the disc to start it up.
Have you thought about reformatting the hard drive in another Mac computer and then reinstalling the OS on it?

I am sorry that wasn't the information that you were looking for but perhaps this other info will shed some light on how to unlock yours.

How do I unlock my Mac computer?
To get started, you will need to restart your computer. Press the Command and R keys at the same time when the grey screen appears and hold them until you see the Apple logo. A small loading bar will appear under the logo. Sit tight as your system boots into Recovery Mode.

Thanks but i tried that, it didn't work. When I have more time I will do it again.

Thread post count will be set at 25,000 and then it will be locked but can be continued on a new thread with the same post count.

Addition #3 (July 1st): Cap the length of your threads This is one of those things that ought to be a setting - even vBulletin is known for choking on large threads, look up rpg.net's motivational poster history. Large threads mean there is a large result set for further instructions in the query to prune from, and if a thread is too disproportionally large, even browsing the thread will result in using table scans instead of the index - a very bad situation indeed.

That's good!

They reappeared. They were always on the home page , then today I noticed they weren't, or any page. Is this a glitch?

At Pete,

they are back now.
Not for me - no logout button, nor PM feature.
Neither one are working.
I sent one PM out this morning, and then this feature was immediately disabled.

Items to date that have been disabled:
Smileys
Pictorial symbols when replying to another's post (bottom right feature)
Logout Button
PM Messaging

What's next, Pete?

Some get annoyed by the smileys when it really doesn’t bother me or others, but I understand. No biggie.
I still have my own pictorials and smileys to share, so I don’t know why that’s not working for you and I still can logout with my phone because that button is still there, and I can still PM.
