You're detecting nothing in my voice. However, I think realism would be a more accurate depiction. You see, we don't have the amount of money it would take to make the moon habitable for human existence.
I don't consider myself a fool but you're certainly free to cast your stones wherever you feel they'll do the most damage and/or good. It doesn't bother me in the least. There's a huge difference in building a flying machine than in creating an entire human habitat out of a planet made of dust and debris.
The theory was we would find a viable means of life. We did not. The cost of creating such an existence is insurmountable.
Throwing out adolescent comments like this for absolutely no reason other than to hopefully inflect insult is not worthy of any response. It's beneath me and anyone above the age of 12.

No, I'm most sure of it now.
Bold absolute statements, you have any proof to back those up?  History is on my side, not the fools.

That last 2 links incorporate pictures with short explanations in case it's "TLDR" for you. Then there is this....

Come down upon high from your ivory tower. You might not want to say  "comments like this are not worth any response" while responding to them. Also, calling others
12 year olds "to hopefully inflect insult"  is pretty hypocritical to say the least. Overall, I think it's funny you say it's beneath anyone of 12 while doing just that. Feel free to cast your stones where you wish, you might want to rethink throwing them in your own face tho. You just insulted yourself.

Try again?

No, but seeing as how my professor worked for NASA , as did many people at that time keeping a fact like that secret would have been impossible. Videos of low quality are harder to do special effects on.
The rest of your tirade was TLDR.

TLDR?  I'm sorry that a paragraph equivalent reply to 4 posters each was to much for you. How ever did you make it thru college without an attention span?  I'll try to keep it short next time and use small words, just for you.

Since you used the word "Impossible",  the probability of that is very high. Agreed. I'm not arguing that we didn't go. Then how did he know we went, faith?

My goodness you have a lot to write! You know what they say... Right WLU?  😉

Hold on, I know this one.

What was that catchy word Purplelady uses.... Oh, "REBUFF!" ???

"REBUFF" (ignore), the last refuge of someone who can't defend what they said, or in this case, implied racism.

How do you know there was an atomic bomb? Because of film and pictures?

Such questions are going to trigger somebody into an existential crisis, Pete.

Half the people in here that I have dossiers on need long term psychological counseling as it is.

As lackluster as it is, we all appreciate your highly subjective personal thoughts on my postings. But let's try and at least insert a relevant reply to the actual topic being discussed so you don't derail the conversation with your "insults" (banter). Also, I really hate for ICNO to insinuate that you're not above 12, she seems to be really bothered by that rhetoric.

I'd still like your take on why you think we went to the moon. So far all you said was "my professor was there".  I assumed that a college educated adult could form a more comprehensive reply, I guess not.

moving on...

If you find it interesting, that our military operated the largest flim studio, in the world from roughly 1945 till 1970. You will find what happened around Lookout Mountian, even more intriguing, I promise!

Look up a guy, Dave McGowan he wrote a best selling book on it, a few years ago. He died, unexpectedly from a heart attack in his forties...round about the same age/circumstances as Andrew Breitbart...imagine that!

Here's a YouTube interview of Dave and his book:

Hello Barn Kat.

Since everyone else's buttholes flex so tight that you couldn't pull a stickpin out of it with a tractor when I ask them something, I'm going to ask you.

Does this look like an excited, high energy recounting of the first men ever in human history to step foot on the moon with what seemingly looks like conflicting accounts of events.

Drugged?
Threatened?
Psyops- Brainwashed?
Disinformation?

The body language alone in this video could probably fill volumes of speculation of what really occurred. What's your take?

All press conferences of that time had strange body language and were unpolished.

Spot-on observation!

Anyone interested should look at M K Ultra programing. Much of the Natzi's human experiments dealt with this very same thing. As I stated, this was the very first "Mass Media Event" or mass programing attempt...again what was the second such event?

Understood, and have taken into account.

The video clip you show is the introduction of the Mercury 7, almost 10 years before we landed on the moon, went to space. These men seem more excited than the men who actually landed on the moon. If you watch all 3 parts of the interview you posted, you will see a smirk that rarely left John Glenn's face that would make the Cheshire cat envious. The rest of the Mercury 7 still show a lot more enthusiasm that the first people to walk on the moon.

Personally, and just my observation, I think it's very, very odd.

Second event would be either the Vietnam war, I think this is where mass media discovered it's power to mold public perception.  Next would be 9/11.

My apologies, I miss-led you, not intentionally!

The first mass media event was the assasination of JFK. The second was the first moon landing!

Interesting, how Vietnam war was played-out by the media over the course of years. I remember well, sitting down to family dinner, as a young boy and the network news lead-in, was always how many men died the day before!  I distinctly  recall thinking, "will I grow up, just to die in this war?". Heavy thought for such a young impressionable mind.

Nothing about that war ever made any sense to me, until a few years ago. When I read and understood the inccident in the Gulf of Tonkin and who was involved. Did you know Jim Morrison of the Doors, father played a key role? Today, I firmly believe that every war, since the French Revolution at least, has been a planned event!

And yes, certainly 9/11 makes the top 5 list too! Maybe the largest single media-event that's ever occured, in history.
The three men, who had recently leased the WTC, made 2.4 billion on a 140 million investment, when those towers and building 7 came down, not a bad payday, huh?

It's all about controlling the masses and making money while doing so!

Btw: the smirk is known as "Dupers Delight". Anyone not familiar with this term, should be!

It might be next but it will have to be more than likely an unmanned spacecraft to go.

They are exploring ways to grow vegetables in space and checking out Mars capabilities too. Maybe to a place to take a vacation, possibly have hotels in bubbles?

The vegetables would have to be grown in bubbles also. Mars atmosphere is not conducive for growing or living there even with bubbles.  Did you not have science in school that explains why no one can live on Mars due to its proximity to the Sun?

This is why we won't be going to Mars.

The U.S. federal budget deficit for fiscal year 2020 is $1.10 trillion. FY 2020 covers October 1, 2019, through September 30, 2020. The deficit occurs because the U.S. government spending of $4.75 trillion is higher than its revenue of $3.65 trillion

That and the atmosphere on Mars isn't conducive to human life.

Who knows what the future holds. Humans can be very adaptable, maybe even find ways to inhabit Mars. I'm reserving my seat for the 1st rocket that goes. I wouldn't mind visiting Mars for a week's vacation.

Of coarse the vegetables would have to be grown in sealed bubbles, that's what I said.
