The same thing happened with education.  Once the federal government began dumping billions into it costs started going through the roof.

There are colleges with designer dorm rooms and they compete to attract students by providing super nice awesome dorms.  That is inefficient waste of money spent on education.  As a nation we should strive to educate young adults as efficiently as possible while achieving world class results.  <<< that should be the goal and culture.

True. College was once reasonable too. It wasn't cheap, but reasonable. Trenton State College was the place to go for the average person when I graduated from high school.

Dumping money into something is a demand increase that raises prices.

Bernie the Bolshevik complains about Bloomberg buying votes while democrats have been doing that since FDR. Doesn't Bernie know that promising free college is buying votes?  What Bernie doesn't tell you is in Europe's free college not everyone goes to college. A test taken in eighth grade determines that.
