When I was little my folks weren't paying for all of us to eat lunch at school. They told us to pack a lunch or my mom packed one when I was younger.
The issue as I see it, is that school lunches are more expensive than a lunch packed at home. Also people already get food stamps if they are poor. They can pack their kids lunch. Wasn't that the point of food stamps?
Exactly....If these kids can come to school with expensive shoes and smart phones, they can pack a measly lunch.....No free meals should be served to kids with attributes of affluence such as cell phones and $100.00 sneakers and designer clothing....I call bullshit on the whole shebang...If you are going to reproduce, then feed your offspring even if you yourself have to go hungry , be without cable tv or have no internet
