Is Hunter’s laptop really a critical issue facing America today? | Opinion

Hunter’s laptop
In a Dec. 20 op-ed Mick Mulvaney argued that Kevin McCarthy’s attempt to gain enough votes to become Speaker of the House should satisfy conservatives, and he listed three reasons why: McCarthy’s interest in investigations into the COVID response, Biden family’s overseas ties, and politicization of federal agencies.

Are these really the critical issues facing America today? Instead of raking over culture war items that benefit no one, Republicans would do better to promote policies that look to the future. Such policies might include improving the education of our children, long-term health care for failing seniors, aid to strengthen our democratic institutions, and a serious plan to address the problem of immigration.

Senators grilled Attorney General Merrick Garland during his first appearance since a new Congress was seated and the first time he sat before the committee in over a year.

Garland fielded questions that ranged from Fentanyl's impact on Americans, something he said was "unleashed on purpose" by cartels.

Other inquiries probed the investigation into Hunter Biden's laptop and the Justice Department's role in allegedly targeting parents.

I may have mentioned it before, Don Jr reminds me of that cokehead in the first Die Hard movie, got his head blown away by Hans thinking he could negotiate with him. Equally gullible...
