I said when coming here, I wouldnt get involved in the serious issues that divide this country, but *shrugs shoulders* here I am.
Why are we "triggered"? He's fake, a sham. He ran on peoples fears, and ignorance of others. The man surrounded himself with rich business thugs who played the system, and for me I look for a man's character within his social circles. He sits in our highest office, and makes a mockery of our constitution while sending out petty tweets. For a person to agree with Trumps decisions, is saying our past presidents were worthless, and didn't do a thing for you, or protect you. To me that sounds like you're ungrateful for what you have been given in this country.
I could go on, and on, but instead on a different note. If you're wanting to debate political issues, leave religion out of it also. (Noticed religion, and equality in before statements) Religion has become a crutch for people to use when logic has failed them. This is the United States. We have freedom of religion, which will not always line up with your religious beliefs. Their values run as deep as yours, but for different purposes. Alrighty then. Rant over, and nice to meet you Window Licker. Btw with a name like yours you should be supporting some mental health issues. Window licking is scary real. Js ;-)
The fact is, you just describe in great detail any political party that's held office over the last 200+ years. You seem to have an unrealistic, romantic view on any pre-Trump American politics. Maybe you are just glossing over the "bad" things others did because it's "your side" doing it? Mr. Weepy gave us a good example of this level of hypocrisy in the "Politics" thread.
I thank you for your personal opinion of "why" people mentally regress into a child like demeanor when discussing Trump in here. I guess if that's the only way you (others) can express yourself, as a child, I think us voters got bigger problems than some out of context black kid randomly getting shot that Sundog mentioned.
I seriously doubt the validity of someone claiming they can make rational, well thought out choices when they act like this, let alone say they understand what a "good" President is and vote accordingly. Now that's scary.

Nicely worded statement about religion. I can't tell if you hold me in high esteem as an intellectual colleague, reprimanding me for (entertaining a religious debate) answering people's religious questions/asking and challenging their own religious views in a political thread. Or implying I'm bringing up religion myself and pushing my own religious value's onto others. Which I have not.
Someone else thought the latter and I had to point out questions(?) are not statements of fact of ones beliefs. Answering someone's questions, when asked, is not pushing my religious values onto others. Quoting the full verse when someone half-quotes the Bible to push their own political anti-male agenda and calling them out on it is just good old fashion integrity. If people don't want to discuss others religion in the politics threads, maybe they shouldn't bring it up to begin with.
I think that probably covers all the misconceptions you might have if so. If you need some more clarity, feel free to ask.
Good to meet you also, DuckieDoll. I enjoyed your reply. My name, Window Lickers Union, is a homage to all the window lickers that use to gather (union) in the local Topix forum. After the slobbering display I've seen some of the posters do in here, I'm glad I kept it.
