Depends on what your purpose is.  Seems that most effected will be of a dark skin tone.

That's true. Some black soldiers had problems with ingrown hair caused by shaving when I was in.

It's like taking money out a homeless person pocket and giving it to a rich man and thinking it makes you and the world better off.  The voucher system does nothing to create overall better schools.  It just punishes poorer people, makes their only choice of school worse, while giving more well off people more options and money.

Poorer people are denied vouchers?

Poorer people are denied vouchers?

They are useless for them.  The vouchers still don't cover the full cost.  Many people don't have 6k sitting in the bank to pay for every kid they have to go to private school for a year.  Average cost for a private school is 12k and the Florida vouchers you have been raving about are only half that amount.  That means these vouchers are completely worthless to many people.  It was just a way for already rich people to get tax dollars to pay to send their kids to a private school they were already going to be sending them to, regardless of vouchers.

Heck, many families don't have 6k to spend on a private school per kid.  Many don't have 3k more to spend per kid for private school.  For many spending $1000 or even $500 more per kid would be a hardship.

The biggest supporters of this sh1t are rich people who think they need even more $, even if it effs public schools over, and a bunch of yokels, who could never benefit from it.  The yokels will support anything if it angers democrats.  They'd cut their nuts off if they thought if it would spite democrats.

The private schools here have their own buses. What it costs to send a kid to private school here is the same as a semester of college..

You are paying for those private school buses with your high cost tuition, which is too high for a lot of people, even with Florida type subsidies.

Most average folks don't have 6k sitting in the bank, with nothing to do, such that they are gonna be like, let's take that 6k that we don't really need and use it to pay to send our kid to private school for one year.

That's just one year.  To send them to private school through high school would be $72k ... for one kid.  Let's say they have 2 or 3 ... how many average families have over 200k that is just sitting there to blow on private schools  this is even with vouchers.

It doesn't even matter if it's not 6k.  A lot of folks don't have 3k and don't save 3k more every year that is just sitting in the bank with nothing to do, except waiting to keep being spent every year on sending their kid to private school.

I was just scrolling by and noticed I gave you a disagree on this post. That must have been an accident. I’m sorry. There was nothing to disagree with.

Poorer people are denied vouchers?

This is like you saying, "so are you telling me homeless people are denied tax breaks when they build 100 million $ data centers and aren't treated the same as the billionaires who receive these tax breaks?"  You are completely missing the point.  The point being, such tax breaks are completely worthless to homeless people.  They don't have 100s of millions of dollars to build a data center, even if the tax breaks help offset all those costs.  Tax breaks for a 100 million dollar data center are about as useful to your average person as your school vouchers are to them.

What bothers me the most about it is that almost all of the private schools around here are parochial.
