"Cubs go all the way again."

This is better than the original.

I ordered 10 pounds of sliced frozen gyro meat for about $120 with it shipped to me.  I am going to invite my family over and make some.  I will still have a lot left over.  Grecian Delight is based in Chicago.

That's one thing my whole family misses is the food from Chicago.  I haven't found a single pizza place I like.  It's all NY style.  I prefer tavern style.  That's what we normally eat in Chicago ... not Chicago-style.  Only certain places make Chicago-style good.  Giordano's and places like that; not your local pizza joint.

The heavy weight on my high school wrestling team was Greek and his family owned a fast food restaurant.  It was so good.  They cut the gyro meat off cone on the spit.

All NY style pizza tastes like sbarros to me at the mall food court from back in the day when I'd have to go shopping with my mom all day.

It's not horrible, but Chicago has good pizza, and I know what good pizza is.  I prefer tavern style or Chicago style to NY-style.

We are having a charcuterie with different meats, cheeses and fruits for supper. It is too hot to cook.

I've heard lyrics to that version too.
I liked original lyrics but good for newer inclusions

Trump calls off planned Thursday evening strikes on Iran
The president said discussions to end the conflict have reached the highest level of Iranian leadership, but the country’s government has not publicly weighed in.

Still I hope it is. War needs to end.
---
Just hours after declaring that the U.S. would strike Iran “VERY HARD TONIGHT,” President Donald Trump abruptly reversed course Thursday afternoon, announcing that he had canceled the planned attacks after what he described as a breakthrough in negotiations with Tehran.

“Based on the fact that discussions with the Islamic Republic of Iran have been brought to the highest level of Iranian leadership and approved, I have, as President of the United States of America, cancelled the scheduled strikes and bombings against Iran this evening,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

The president added that a potential deal to end the monthslong war has been “approved by all parties involved, including the United States, Israel, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Turkey, Pakistan, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, Egypt, and others,” saying that the “time and place” of the signing will be announced shortly.

He notably did not list Iran in the list of “all parties involved,” and the Iranian government has not publicly weighed in on Thursday.

In the Oval Office on Thursday, Trump said he believed Tehran had approved the agreement, which he clarified was a memorandum of understanding between the U.S. and Iran. He said he expects the agreement to be finalized “over the next few days” and potentially signed by Vice President JD Vance at an event in Europe.

Democrats hold lead over GOP in latest congressional ballot poll

As the summer begins and with the midterms only a couple of months away, a new poll shows that voter support for Democrats is slightly over 10 percentage points higher than for GOP congressional candidates.

The poll, released on June 11 by Emerson College, showed that Democrats have 50.3% support from likely voters in November. On the other hand, Republicans hold 39.5% support ahead of the midterms.

According to Emerson College’s latest poll, 10.2% of likely voters remain undecided about which party to vote for in November.

I do but the law states differently especially when a child is old enough to know the difference between right and wrong. Had there been a degree of insanity that would be different but since there has not been proven any insanity issues than charge them as an adult.

"The law" used to say that you could own black people too. That doesn't make it right.

"..BYD is preparing to bring its megawatt “Flash Charging” network to Canada. Will add 400 km of range in 5 minutes, even at -20°C (-4°F) in Canadian winters.

"While American drivers are stuck with a de facto ceiling of 350-500 kW, and US tariffs keep BYD out entirely, Canadians are now likely to get megawatt-class charging alongside some of the cheapest EVs on the market. The contrast at the border is going to become embarrassing fast.".."
