"...Trump's birthday bash for America is hitting fresh trouble, with at least six states publicly saying they will not officially participate in his Great American State Fair, NOTUS reported Wednesday.

Officials from Connecticut, Illinois, Maine, Massachusetts, North Carolina and Oregon told the outlet they will not send official delegations to the 16-day fair on the National Mall, set to open June 25. Three other states — Maryland, Pennsylvania and Washington — remain uncommitted just two weeks out.

The state holdouts come days after a wave of musical acts abandoned the festival, with performers including Martina McBride and Bret Michaels saying they had been misled about the event's political ties. After the lineup collapse, Trump announced he would open the fair with "the Greatest Rally, EVER!"

NOTUS reported the fair is an example of a deeper rift between Freedom 250, the Trump-created entity producing the spectacles, and America 250, the bipartisan commission Congress created a decade ago. The Trump administration has withheld tens of millions from America 250, which now faces a $100 million shortfall, while funneling at least $68 million to Freedom 250, NOTUS found..."

What is funny is several blacks, comedians, preachers, etc. said they are embarrassed by the blacks wanting to take up for  this  black punk.
Fear makes people, especially young people, react and do things they normally wouldn’t do. I don’t see Karmelo Anthony as a “punk”. I don’t see him as an instigator. He was attacked and he retaliated. Should he have had a knife at a track meet? Absolutely not! However, as a black individual he’s probably aware that an altercation can occur at any time simply because of the color of his skin. No, he should not have been sitting under that tent. Had he been asked to leave, perhaps he would have. Being told to leave in a threatening manner, probably instilled a sense of fear in him, that cause him to become irrational.

I haven’t kept up with this case so I’m probably not as knowledgeable as you. Just reviewing it and all of its ugliness just makes me wonder what really motivated Karmelo Anthony to act in such an irrational and heinous manner. He is guilty of stabbing Austin Metcalf. Whether his intent was to cause the death of Austin Metcalf or simply to defend himself, hasn’t actually been established in my opinion. Why did he have a knife at a school event? Why did he decide to sit in another team’s tent at a competition? These are the questions that can be speculated on but they haven’t been established as fact.

I hate that 2 families have been ruined. I hate that one young man is gone and another will spend years in prison where he’ll probably wish daily that he had never used that knife. It’s a shame!

In no way do I believe that people are defending him because of the color of his skin. I believe that the court and the court of public opinion has an obligation to be colorblind when it comes to human life and rights.

Iran says US daily attacks are a blatant violation of ceasefire.

Probably have a point.
Tit for tat the sides have been doing is one thing.
We attacked because they shot down an Apache helicopter.

But what been saying now is because Iran hadn't signed memorandum of understanding.
Bomb you every day until do would be ceasefire violation.

Seizing oil and gas supply would be a war crime.

He keeps wanting to compare it to Venezuela.
So quick. So easy but nothing like Venezuela
Much harder to do

Everyday people calling, writing trying to sign me up on Medicare Advantage plan.

Medicare Advantage plans denied prior authorization requests at unusually high rates, HHS report finds

Patients enrolled in some of the nation’s largest Medicare Advantage plans were denied requests for rehabilitation and other critical services at unusually high rates, according to a report released today by the Department of Health and Human Services’ inspector general.

It comes amid increased scrutiny of how insurers use prior authorization, a cost-cutting tool that experts say often leads to the delay or denial of necessary care.

“These denial rates are quite staggering,” said Miranda Yaver, an assistant professor of health policy and management at the University of Pittsburgh. “It’s another data point that reinforces what a lot of Americans have already been articulating a lot of frustration about — which is that healthcare decisions are being made with profit rather than medical necessity in mind.”

“The range of denial rates from 8% all the way up to 80% by company for long-term care, that’s a pretty shocking variation,” she said.

A second report, also released Thursday, focused on prior authorization requests for skilled nursing facility care. It found that when patients appealed, plans reversed 95% of denials.

“We’re looking at an extremely high overturn rate,” Rosemary Bartholomew, the lead author of the reports, said. “That really raises concerns that there’s a breakdown happening at that first request step.”

Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has vowed to take steps to reform prior authorization. Last year, Kennedy announced that the agency had secured commitments from several major health insurers to streamline prior authorization rules and reduce the number of services subject to preapproval

"...Trump opened a complaint line and got 35,000 complaints about himself

The Trump administration requested National Park visitors report exhibits deemed "negative" about Americans, aiming to restore sites as "uplifting public monuments."

An analysis of 35,000 public comments, disclosed through a Sierra Club lawsuit, revealed that the vast majority sharply criticized the administration's initiative, with many calling it "un-American."

Interior Secretary Doug Burgum's order targeted "inappropriate content," leading to the removal or modification of at least 59 signs and exhibits, according to the watchdog group Save Our Signs.

These alterations notably affected content referring to slavery, climate change, women’s rights, and Native American history, such as exhibits on enslaved individuals at Independence National Historical Park.

Public comments also included strong political criticism, with some comparing the policy to "fascist" tactics, while others expressed dismay at references to contemporary philosophies like DEI and critical race theory..."
