One of her cousins testified before the committee.  He's a Vietnam vet with a Purple Heart.
The days go by slow, but the years go by fast.

Make big pharma rich, dumb, dumb. Hope you dont get a blood clot.
You should teach them a lesson and never take any type of medicine EVER. Go ahead and keep believing every conspiracy theory you hear too. That should work out well. Remember not to use anything with electricity in it too. It'll give you cancer of the face.

I remember when Trump had to clean the oval office and remove all the chicken bones that Obama left there......
The walls are closing in on Trump and the clueless Republican party. Nothing can save them from vengeful voters.

Pope wants to go to 40 games and I think they will .

Tuesday a big game.
 #Kentucky at #11 Louisville.
We'll have to watch that.

Are there limits to how many games can have? Just all are have to be between certain start date November 1 or whatever?
In high school there is in Kentucky. Was 26 during regular season but could been some changes and tournaments were different. Seems like maybe not all games count as a game in same tournament or for the first so many tournaments.
I think All A was all games you play through region is just one game total and then though if you go to state every game play counts as game.

Years Kentucky won NCAA they didn't play over 35 aren't there.

Think about the people going hungry right now. Think about the fact that in the United States of America children could potentially die from starvation. Our country will celebrate Thanksgiving this month. Thanksgiving is a holiday set aside to be grateful and give Thanks for a small group of people having the courage to sail across the ocean searching for a land where they would be free to worship the way they wanted. Where they had opportunities to live in freedom and build a secure future for their families.  ???

Think about the fact that in 2025 a group of wealthy politicians without a worry in the world will set our great nation back 250 years out of nothing more than greed.

In addition to SNAP recipients there are currently:

“Approximately 650,000 to 750,000 federal workers have been furloughed during the current government shutdown. These employees are sent home without pay, while others, estimated at around 700,000 to 730,000, are required to continue working without pay because their jobs are deemed essential.
Furloughed workers: Roughly 650,000 to 750,000 federal employees are furloughed, meaning they are not working and not being paid.
Essential workers: Another 700,000 to 730,000 federal employees are still working but have not received paychecks.
Military personnel: Active-duty military personnel and some National Guard and reserve personnel are also affected and may miss paychecks.”

My DIL is a Veterinarian for the Federal Government. The kid’s bus driver called her over to the bus a few weeks ago and asked if they were ok or if they needed anything knowing she isn’t being paid. She explained they have meat, milk, and eggs, so at least they can eat.

Folks, I don’t know if you realize or understand the situation our great nation is in, but we desperately need to think beyond ourselves. This is not good. It is not acceptable. When you sit down with your family for your Thanksgiving feast on November 27, what will you give Thanks for?

This is the bottom line.
Trump doesn't care about starving people
He called it "Democrat program" like mostly just Democrats on it.
He apparently doesn't know how many people in red states often rural states that voted for him are on it.

President Clinton's campaign slogan was "Putting People First"
Here it's always Putting Donald first
It's about power.
They think they have maximum power in shutdown to get their way if more people starve.

Talking about if he can use other funds
Last week he didn't want to use ANY funds.
He didn't want to use contingency fund saying not appropriated I can't though Congress clearly set it up for such contingencies
No president ever tried to not send benefits.
If he can't fully fund it why did he yesterday say he was going to?
Then turn right around and appeal it twice to appeals court and after that was denied  he went as far as Supreme Court to keep people hungry

‘Stop playing politics’: Democrats rip court-extended pause to SNAP funding
The latest court opinion will further delay funds to a program Democrats have demanded receive funding from another source as the government shutdown continues.
 https://www.politico.com/news/2025/11/08/democrats-snap-funding-pause-00643731
(It took a court case from 25 Democrat Attorney Generals no Republicans fought for it to get them to partially pay benefits. They didn't want to pay any)

Democrats are railing against the Trump administration after its temporary Supreme Court win paused an order that would’ve required providing full funding of SNAP benefits amid the government shutdown.

“The Trump administration is begging the Supreme Court to block an order requiring them to immediately release SNAP benefits,” Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries said on X on Friday. “Meanwhile. Millions of hungry Americans are at risk of starving. These extremists are sick people.”

Minority Whip Katherine Clark (D-Mass.) also decried the pause, suggesting that Democrats would push back on the added delay to funding the program.

“Let’s be very clear,” Clark wrote on X, “Trump is making a choice not to feed hungry Americans. Democrats will be fighting back.”

“The Trump administration will go to any length — including appeal to the highest court in the land — if it means they can cut off food for hungry people,” Sen. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) said on X on Friday. “What is wrong with them?”

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul — who also said she directed state agencies to fully fund SNAP benefits for November — took to X on Friday, saying the administration “fought for” the decision to delay the payments.

“He doesn’t care if millions of Americans go hungry,” she said.

The Trump administration has said it doesn’t have the funds needed to restore full SNAP payments amid the ongoing shutdown. Officials argue that directing additional funds toward SNAP would pull money away from funding child nutrition programs.

“Our attorneys will not stop fighting, day and night, to defend and advance President Trump’s agenda,” Attorney General Pam Bondi said on X after the temporary Supreme Court win.

Trump's Truth Social post today is completely absurd.

End ACA it sounds like certainly says end subsidies and send checks to people and let them buy coverage elsewhere.

Vance still railing for ending filibuster which isn't going to happen.
Not Republican support to do it.
They're not serious about ending shutdown.

Nov 8 (Reuters) - President Donald Trump on Saturday urged Republican senators to redirect federal money used to subsidize health insurance costs under the Affordable Care Act toward direct payments to individuals, floating a potential compromise to an issue at the heart of the U.S. government shutdown.(Ending Affordable Care Act is not a compromise and not going to happen)

"I am recommending to Senate Republicans that the Hundreds of Billions of Dollars currently being sent to money sucking Insurance Companies in order to save the bad Healthcare provided by ObamaCare, BE SENT DIRECTLY TO THE PEOPLE SO THAT THEY CAN PURCHASE THEIR OWN, MUCH BETTER, HEALTHCARE, and have money left over," Trump wrote in a social media post.

"In other words, take from the BIG, BAD Insurance Companies, give it to the people, and terminate, per Dollar spent, the worst Healthcare anywhere in the World, ObamaCare," he added, without offering further details.

Trump's comments on Truth Social came just hours before the U.S. Senate was set to reconvene at noon (1700 GMT) after rejecting legislation on Friday that would have resumed paychecks for hundreds of thousands of federal workers during the longest government shutdown in U.S. history.

Lawmakers remained at odds over how to reopen the government. Democrats want a funding bill to include healthcare subsidies that are due to expire for 24 million Americans at year's end, but Trump's fellow Republicans say Congress must first pass a funding bill without strings attached and allow the government to reopen before tackling other issues.

At 39 days, the record-long shutdown has left millions of federal government workers without paychecks, frozen critical food aid and snarled airline travel, among other impacts.
