I too am thankful to Pete for allowing me to join his forum, but just reading what you’ve stated here and elsewhere is the reminder to everyone here that you like the drama ball rolling as well. Just read your own words to see this for yourself.

Nevermind, false alarm...

I just want to remind everyone that when we first started here i said anyone can have their own board and that still goes.Anyone interested in a board, blog or thread just let me know.

What is the purpose of modifying our posts that were already posted?

And what is the purpose of having the ability to alter other posters comments when we quote or reply to them?

Modifying is editing, you know correct spelling or grammar errors for most part.

As far as editing other posters, if there is no altering of your original post, who cares? You will come up to people that have fun with that stuff, esp in feuds with other posters. It happened all the time on Topix, I did it on others, others did it ion me, tit for tat...

Ok, but what if the original post was removed? The altered quoted post by a replying poster after posted looks as if that was your original post, and you can't check a post that was removed. I am concerned in this aspect.

Sometimes if I quote someone that posted a youtube video
In my quote I will remove the video so its not repeated.
If everyone would do that we wouldn't be seeing 3 or 4
in a row of the same thing, that goes for pictures too.

I thought about that awhile ago as I have quoted those with more than one video and it is a waste of space when repeated. I will try the same thing from here on out
