What is your current status? Any luck? No computer shops in your area to help?

no luck yet, yes there are repair shops, but i dont want to bother with it, will cost too much. my installation disc says lock, i think if i unlock it i'm in business. thanks for asking.

The setting aren't working for moderators so I've got to remove the moderators names from the boards until I

Jackie what about a neighbor kid, someone that lives close. Maybe a friend's kid? Some of these kids are so computer savvy they might know exactly how to fix it.

I just looked at all this info. I didn't see anything on how to unlock a start up disc for the 7600/132 mac (1996) But there was info on this model. Thanks anyway. I will bookmark this link in case I need any info on here for another technical issue I may have with my other 2 macs. Thanks lots of info here.

Maybe a mac tech would give this information for free, on how to unlock my starter disc, I could call up, the worst that could happen is they will say no.
