Perhaps David Axelrod says it best?
"For those who want to skip ahead: The House will impeach @POTUS by the end of the year because what he did warrants it. The Senate will hold a trial in January but not convict, regardless of evidence, because he has absolute control of his party. And then we will move on."
Seth Abramson tweets a reply to Axelrod:
"I think the key point here is that when you tweet things like this, you relinquish permanently the right to bemoan Americans' cynicism with respect to government. You've given up before the fight has even begun—and worse, want people to follow you into cynicism."
