Sounds like a good plan. I try not to eat anything after supper and especially before bed.

Thats a good idea, I think the rule of thumb is no food 3  or 5 hours before bedtime. I eat cabbage soup on those days Ihave a stong urge to eat. , the more you eat the more you lose.

I don't have the recipe handy, but its just cabbage peices with green pepper, onion, onion soup pack for flavor, a couple cans of whole or diced tomatoes, big cans, add all in a big pot, fill with water to top, heat half hour ro an hour.

This is called TJ soup for a cardiac diet. I use it when I get the munchies.

That recipie sounds like a real keeper!  Something else I think is important is to regularly take a good multi vitamin & minera. When the body has a deficiency in some vitamins or minerals the body will keep sending hunger signals until the body gets what it needs... this is the reason for binges many times. Unfortunatly, the body doesn't tell us specifically what it needs... it just makes us hungry and sends cravings.

Never knew this, sounds like good nutritionist advice. Craves are very hard to overcome for me. I was thinking of seeing a nutritionist some time. I hear a nutritionistcaters to each individual, customizing your diet to your bodies fat burning needs.

I notice this one has some calories, the tj soup recipe I mentioned I don't think has calories, will check this out. Have fun with it.

A nutritionist may be a great idea and most hospitals have one on staff, and maybe an Endocrinologist may help too.

They specialize in glands, metabolism, hormones, thyroid, blood sugars, and similar. People with Diabetes, thyroid problems, and metabolism problems usually consult with this specialist. Weight control can have many causes and factors involved that only a specialist can diagnose.

Sorry, I don't mean to advise like I know anyting, but my past years work history in patient case management with Registered Nurses and Doctors I soaked up everything like a sponge. I am only repeating what I heard being told to my patients I was assigned to. I only mention things that might be helpful.

I go to an endocrinologist for my thyroid. He is absolutely an amazing doctor.

Glad to hear you are on top of this issue. Thyroid is a tricky thing.

Not to change the subject... but does anyone else still fold their socks. I did for all my life... recently I found new freedom and now I just throw all my socks in the drawer in a pile. I found great freedom in this ...I just grab two socks out of the pile every morning... and it has actually saved me a lot of time... not only do I not fold my socks... I no longer have to unfold them before putting them on. Silly human ways.
