this reminds me of a story I've told before. My brother and I were playing cowboys with our cap guns and running around the house shooting each other and yelling "I'm going to kill you!".  We were just playing, but Mom heard this and mistook this to being serious and not play... she drug us both by our ears to our bedroom and made us both kneel down at our bed and pray for forgivness. Mom said she didn't ever want to hear us say that again... and we obeyed... although as teenagers we nearly killed each other in many real fights... but we never used those forbidden words. My brother and I are very close today.
Sounds like the same thing we told our son today after he has been without his cell phone for almost 3 weeks that saying his phone was going to blow up might not be what he should say. I knew what he meant but told him these days you don't say stuff like that.

Fishing  with a cane pole and using worms. Caught 3 bass and 13 bluegill one time that way on our lake.

Yep IslandGurl... we are all good... no problem. Thanks my friend!  :)
Thank You, Mr. Cowface.
I'm just happy to have us all posting together on the same page.
It was a misunderstanding on my part.

One of my fondest memories with my daughter when she was a baby:
I would gather up my fishing rod -  small picnic basket - set up her playpen.

Fish all day - of course, there was a limit, so..
I'd race home with my catch of the morning - Dad would freeze them in milk cartons.
Only to find myself returning back there.
Yes, I broke the rules and still do to this day.

I've continued this tradition with my granddaughter now whenever I can.

She and I didn’t have a good start in the beginning for friendship, but that has since grown and I came to see her as a good person and would like to see her come back.

She has friends here that care about her even though I understand her reasons for leaving us behind.

She didn’t have that many friends. However, I want her to know that she need not worry herself over some that did not like her when she should relish the fact that she still has friends that likes her and are there for her.
And now she is gone.

And I hate seeing her go.

Maybe she decided to take a break and will be back. Or her work schedule is causing her to not be able to posts for a bit.

I’m not so sure of this..as was told to me.
Now I’m saddened about her departure that I knew was coming.

She will be missed.

What exactly was told to you? You knew this was coming... please share. We wish her return as well. You seem to be the only one that knows anything about this. You seem to be the one close to know. How can we help?

I don’t know if she would want me to share what she said through PM. So I don’t really wanna open up that can of worms. Not without her permission.

When someone trusts me with information, I do not speak of it unless the person says I can. So I am unable to say at this time.
However, what I will say is that she got bad vibes and didn’t want to be any trouble. So she said goodbye to me through PM, and left.

I would love to see her back..but I don’t think she’ll return here. 😔

The only way I had communication with her was by PM, and I have tried, but got nowhere.

Her and I got off on the wrong foot from the start, but that changed and I am grateful we got to be friends.
She wouldn’t say much through PM, and she had her reasons for this for which I respected, so we would always play on the threads and have a pretty good time doing so..

She said that because of my smile and kindness...I was her little ray of sunshine.
I feel so awful about her departure.
I know it wasn’t my fault because she had her reasons, but still, she is a good woman and I for one will miss her.

Hope she’s looking ‘cause; 🌞

Thank you for trying and for the chat.

I know she got upset that people weren't on here late at night when most were asleep and made what I considered a snarky comment over that. She didn't like that I told her that we couldn't stay up and cater to her and even Pete basically told her that people would reply when they could. I don't know if that upset or not but if so that is being a little thin skinned. We all are busy people with busy lives.

Thank You all for the kind comments and concern, but I'm really just taking a small break.
If there's just a few things about life, it has taught me this much:

Life is short so;
break the RULES.

FORGIVE quickly.
KISS slowly, and
LOVE truly.

LAUGH uncontrollably,
and NEVER REGRET anything that made you SMILE..

Quitting isn't an option - as the Prince once said to me - and I've always remembered that.
It's a great forum with huge potential, and I think that is why each of us chose to register here.
