I would dearly love to go to Milledgeville Ga and try to find my grandfathers grave.
Unfortunately health reasons prohibit that now and I should have done it years ago when I was "younger"

Please don't let the fact that someone else now owns the property dissuade you from visiting PL.
(yes I know it's hard)
I won't.  Actually the people who own the family house are a young couple with kids. I am glad to see that as it was meant to be a house with kids in it.  The other acreage was divided up and some people who wanted to start a vineyard is doing that and the other part has cattle ran on it as that is what we did. We never thought of doing a vineyard even though we raised grapes and blackberries so in the end the land sustains those who wanted it.

I'm glad to hear that PL and if it's of any consolation at least the land wasn't bought up by one of the big farm conglomerates or god forbid subdivided for condos and parking lots.

No, most of the people out there have farms and it is too far from town for condos and parking lots.

I really don't know if I should post another pic...I guess if Pete gets mad he can PM me and tell me not to do it again and I'll take it down...Anywho

The grandpa I never met on his wedding day.

Thanks Cowface.
I'm sure the original photographer would be quite pleased with your comments ~ although I did have to do a little work on the copy I have to bring it back to my liking.

Tried to post another of ma and three of my siblings arriving at gram and gramps farm in the 40's but it looks like I've reached my limit (again) for pics this month.

BTW my aunts and uncles always told me I looked just like him...Take away the scruffy beard and they might be right lol.

I read you and your pretty cowface, each & every morning on Blue's & Sly's forum, regardless as to whether I feel like posting at the particular time or not.
Perhaps, I'll share another adventure of mine when I feel compelled to do so, and am somewhat more relaxed.

I have to be in that zone to share with another when choosing to do so.
It appeared to me that, perhaps, you & Cyg may have some differences.
I don't like conflict with anyone..

I'm here to have fun, share a few laughs, and relax with the members after some gruelling graveyard shifts - that is all..
I don't think that we were ever having a conflict when it was just purely a friendly discussion, but I guess there are people who will always take it in another form where none exists. I don’t know.

I am not here for conflict, but I do as some others here when they come with their powerful egos, just to yank our chains, and solely for the sake of their entertainment has got to stop.
I like the truth to all things and will speak my thoughts on the subject, and be respectful when others wish to remain blind is of no consequence, but when they are being disrespectful towards myself or anyone else they don’t agree with to then wonder why they get no respect back is outrageous when all they need do is look in a mirror to see who is actually responsible.
I don’t like a pompous jerks and will give them what’s due, accordingly.

I like most of you here. Cowface Mrs Cowface, you, Pete (I don’t have the time to name them all), but I find most of you to be very responsible, enjoyable and respectful people and love reading your insights on life and other topics that progresses thought and amusement to the peaks of our universe of understanding, and without the subjective bias that many are brainwashed with who aren’t interested in the truth to all things.

I came here with the inclination that it was to be fun, opinionated, relaxed and reasonable. But found out just how dishonest it has been is why I care not to discuss my life on an open forum ... just to have another use that against me for profit, or the sake of their own amusement.
This is why I’m careful because even I was nearly ruined because of someone else’s irrelevant minds of irresponsible actions and behaviors.

My apologies for the interject friends and have a great rest of your day.

Hi Cyg! No worries. I saw that comment too back then and wondered where it came from. From my perspective we're all good. Carry on my friend...

Thank you so much Mr Cowface! I have always enjoyed your and the Mrs, you’re both funny as the dickens, witty, and are always such sweet people.
I love you both and hope the remainder of your lives are full of joy, with lots of freedom, and a boatload of friendships to come.

Thanks Cyg... I am always astounded by your intelligence. I enjoy reading your exchanges with others. I can't converse at that level... so sometimes I pretend. LOL   The pretty little Mrs. and I are concerned and worried and praying for Princess so we have not been doing much on our thread until she returns.

You’re so welcome Cowface.
That’s the humor and wit I always love reading from you and the Mrs! 🤣
Thank you for that... I don’t see myself in that light, but I know I am not without some measure of intellect. lol!

I believe that the issue of Princess Hey was resolved as of yesterday, and according to IslandGurl, I think, she’s with he daughter and they have gone for an outing together.
Now that’s love. ❤️

So you need not worry about her my friend.
You and the Mrs take care and I’ll see you around the threads.

But as of now, I have a car to finish cause I’m putting in two new tirods, plus I’m waiting for someone to chat with while I’m doing so.
Have fun buddy. 🙂

Maybe she thought there was a conflict and there wasn't.  Sometimes people don't understand that not always are people going to see eye to eye on every subject.

Agreed. She was just concerned for herself and any other parties involved. So I view it as only a mistake that we all will generally make at one point or another.
No biggie - I too have misinterpreted other people's responses and felt bad once I found out the truth ... and then apologies were given.

We all do this.

Have a great day PL. 🙂

this reminds me of a story I've told before. My brother and I were playing cowboys with our cap guns and running around the house shooting each other and yelling "I'm going to kill you!".  We were just playing, but Mom heard this and mistook this to being serious and not play... she drug us both by our ears to our bedroom and made us both kneel down at our bed and pray for forgivness. Mom said she didn't ever want to hear us say that again... and we obeyed... although as teenagers we nearly killed each other in many real fights... but we never used those forbidden words. My brother and I are very close today.
