"carp"

CNN News does seem a bit fishy at times.  Well played, Fish-Sticks (Pun-Master) even if it might of been an unintentional typo.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Remember that one socially awkward Jr High student that never fit in because the only thing they could ever talk about was Dungeon's and Dragons in every conversation no matter what? That is Cygnus.

If you scroll back through most of Cygnus "political" posts, you will see some form of "Faux News" uttered Ad Nueseam. If you take notice, Cygnus fails to actually engage in political debate at any depth beyond the usual outdated rhetoric because it's all they can do. He tries and hide this fact by stating  "Republican talking points that have no value for consideration." as an excuse as to why he refuses to.

Cygnus just mimics (repeats) over and over what they feel is the "cool" thing to say, so they feel like they fit in and are accepted to the dominant (largest) group in here.  To a point this isn't necessarily a harmful thing to do, mimicking is an evolutionary safety mechanism that has been used to show social conformity and that you're a non-threat to the group. These are the rank-and-file "Beta's" of the world that play it safe and are not risk takers.

I wouldn't take his rhetoric personal or even as a serious debater in these matters, it's just his way of fitting in.

If Der speaks to you that means she likes you.

When she says stuff about you like  " I like WLU as a poster, but I fundamentally disagree with everything he stands for ", then you know you're on the verge of being sent a Christmas card for the holidays. It's been around 2 years since she said that about me and I haven't gotten mine yet, but I'm sure it's just lost in the mail.
All pure bull.

So where do you and she get your news sources from?

And all I hear from you is..mimicking the right-wing banter. Show me something other than that, or you’re in the same category as she.

Redundant sources with only talking points to banter. And if this is the best you have to offer, then you have, nothing.

P.s. I provided her with more than one source of news, and if you both missed that, then that’s your baby, not mine.
Chat later.

That is not unusual, they usually take August off, been doing that for years meant for reps to visit their districts...
They always do in April.and August due to so many states having primaries and then elections.

I have far more sources than your Faux Pass crap, as too many have been busted there for their obvious lies, so you think I care about your only source of news that has no information, whatsoever?
Just a right-wing opinion that full of bull, right? Right. 😂

So please look in the mirror and please stop drinking the kool-aid we’ve all heard before.
I know exactly where you get your information - the right who has only opinions.

Get a grip, dud. 😂

Exactly! But some here will never get a clue on that and that’s just sad.

Still can't reply to individual posts...

Also pretty sure the general chat posts I've put up can't be seen by others.

Am I dreaming this or must one be a IT professional to post here?

A quick look through your post history shows that you have only posted one comment to General Chat.  I can read that one.  Have there been others?

I just remembered something that I noticed the other day which might be indicative of your disappearing post problem.  I saw that on the main forum page you were the most recent poster on a 'current events' thread.  When I went to said thread, your post was not visible.  I thought it was a forum glitch on my end (perhaps I hadn't refreshed the page since the last time I viewed it, etc).  Maybe Pete knows something about this.  I will look into it for you.

That’s because we no longer have a free press that the constitution decrees.

But you can still find the truth if you’re willing to look.

That is very true. And we can all witness this throughout our corporate media where Faux itself lies for the republican cause, ad nauseam.

At least we can see truth from other news sources that give truth when some only give half truths and flat out lies.

I must add the fact that you can always witness what any politician says vs what they actually do cause their actions will speak far louder than words.

This is the closest place I could find to vent, so I hope Im in the right place LoL! I'm not here to debate, or argue, or even listen to the other side because minds won't change, and people think they're always an expert on this subject.

After all the media hype around Georgia, and their Heartbeat Bill, Ohio went and signed it into law, along with 4 other states following suit. I can't even begin to describe how infuriated I am about this. Most women do not take abortion lightly. It will weight on their minds for a lifetime. It's a heavy subject. I get it. What I don't get is young women, (many low income), scared teenagers, battered women, and so on will not know they are pregnant, before the time is up to terminate a pregnancy which can be 5/6 weeks!

A bunch of suits are making laws, and I'm not seeing a panel of doctors in these Chambers. This law gives no exception to ****, or incest. I also haven't heard if the budget was raised for foster parents, child abuse prevention, sexual education for young teens, or help for women that are delivering severely handicapped kids that will never have a chance to raise from poverty.

I'm all for your beliefs, politics, religion, but everyone wants to make abortion illegal, and say it's wrong, or murder, or demonize a woman for making a life changing mistake, or say it's not God's way, but no one offers to help these teens/women when the baby is here! Does anyone realize that if every church in the USA adopted a child, we would not have any in foster care? That's how many churches we have that preach goodness, and yet we have children that are abused, beaten, not wanted, and term out of the foster system at 18. Now we are now adding to that.

This should of never been a political issue. Abortion should of always been between a female, and her doctor, and this bill just made it harder for doctors in these 5 states to properly give medical care without worrying about losing their license. Medicine does not belong in the category of politics, or religion.

The type of politician that makes such are those that would get an abortion for his mistresss in a heartbeat, what the right wing in this country want is for women to keep having babies and keep them couped up in the house and out of the workplace. It is based on misogyny and misogyny is alive in religion too....

One of many reasons why I’m not a conservative. They use their bible as justification for complete ownership of woman and think they have the authority like some monarchs to do with women however they choose.

Shameless pigs is what they are and I have no sympathy for those that follow them.
They get everything they deserve for being asleep at the wheel.

And this will come to haunt those of the mindless.

This is true, but I think the press does a good job at telling the truth, and there are always people willing to stick their necks out to get the truth out, may they be safe.

This is also very true.
If I recall there are two talk show hosts by the names of Joe and Mika (Married in secret) on MSNBC that are very conservative, yet they chose to make up stories when GWB was in office to push his rhetoric and nonsense until they realized that their bull wasn’t sticking and their ratings tanked. Once this happened then more of the truth came to the surface.
However, that’s when their lies began again.
So am I to always take them at their word?
I think not.

Just one example of many news organizations that are conservatively controlled with mindless bots that will jump any hoop for the sake of cash.

Joe Scarborough was a GOP congressman from Florida for several years before going to TV, he has had a falling out with Trump during 2016, he promoted Trump during most of the campaign. Mike has been a news woman but her father was Jimmy Carter's National Security Advisor for four years, she is a Democrat...
