"NATIONAL VIETNAM VETERANS DAY"
"Welcome home Vietnam Veterans!
Two years ago, President Trump signed the Vietnam War Veterans Recognition Act into law. This Act designates every March 29 as National Vietnam War Veterans Day. It was March 29, 1973, when the last of our combat troops left Vietnam. It was on that day that the last American prisoners of war held in North Vietnam came home.
Honor Flight Bluegrass honors the nine million American men and women who served on active duty from November 1, 1955, to May 7, 1975. We remember the sacrifices of more than 58,000 whose names are etched into the Vietnam Memorial. God Bless those who have served....and, please know we appreciate you."
That ^^^^ is the only thing that Mr. Trump; holding office as President, has done thus far, for which I am appreciative and grateful. My father was a Vietnam Veteran. He served proudly and obediently. He loved his country. He taught us to love our country. He instilled in us the knowledge that this was a great country then, it's a great country now, and at no time has it ever ceased to be a great country. Unfortunately, Mr. Trump will not consider my father a war hero under his premise of what constitutes a war hero. However, in my eyes and in my heart, my father was a hero just as John McCain was a hero and no coward with "bad feet" and a big mouth is going to convince me otherwise.
God Bless America!
