I am very late in this conversation but one needs to look at the times that the bible was written.
Look how long in history it took for woman to get the right to vote or the same pay or opportunities as a man ..... it is what it WAS.
Today is different.
I will probably get bashed for this but it's what I think.
There are exceptional women in history and now. But in truth, men are the strongest. I would prefer a squad of firemen saving my home as opposed to a squad of women. That's just me. And women can't have it both way.
I heard a comedian say "Women stood up for their rights, and lost their seat on the bus"
Now, IMO .... the bible is a book of teachings, a guild line that was written in certain times. But the 10 commandments show a moral code that all should observe. Do not steal, kill, or covet .... that's pretty basic. And folks who us terms like "an eye for an eye" need to go back and read what that actually means and it doesn't say revenge.
I am a Pagan, so I am no expert on the bible but I have read it. I raised 2 Christian sons because I gave them free choice. My eldest is more of a Pagan then he knows. I think he is still finding his way.
We all have our opinions. We should all be tolerant of other beliefs.
Diversity makes us all unique.

True there are definite physical differences also some emotional differences between men and women and both have played some pretty important parts in history and in modern times as well. I don't care what a person believes as long as they don't push their beliefs onto others
