I often wondered where the other kids came from but never really cared or thought much about it. I figured not everything was written in it. I thought I read but could be wrong as it was a long time ago that Adam and Eve had other children after Seth and they were girls. Maybe Seth committed incest, who knows? In the grand scheme of things, it doesn't really matter.
You are correct. I didn't remember it, but there it is.
Genesis 5:3-4
"When Adam had lived 130 years, he fathered a son in his own likeness, after his image, and named him Seth. The days of Adam after he fathered Seth were 800 years; and he had other sons and daughters."
All I can find about the incest thing is, arguing if it was forbidden because it was a sin or a law to protect for genetic defects since enough generations had passed from Adam and Eve and they would begin to manifest themselves. I know it can seem "gross" to view this act from today's moral standpoint, but if we our all descendant's from Adam and Eve, then we're all family members to begin with. So there is that to think about.
And before someone from the evolutionary camp comes in here saying something. Ya, you are pretty much in the same boat of doing your kin also - if you think about it.
