It will take an amentment of our constitution to end the electoral college...

There is a compact to get rid of it. You have to have states agree for their electors to go for national popular vote winner. Then you have states that add up to 270 electoral votes. I could look it up. Maybe national popular vote pact but gets away from electoral college winner take all in state. Of course states can reallocate too. That's why Nebraska and I think New Hampshire have it by district. Who that district votes for gets a vote of state vote and I think like 2 votes for overall state winner
And they weren't that far away. Depends on state size how many states take to get 270.
