This isn’t about politics… it’s about people! Governor Andy Beshear has declared a state of emergency.
“Kentucky is under a State of Emergency as widespread flooding impacts communities across the Commonwealth.
Heavy rainfall is expected to continue through 11 p.m. EDT tonight, and conditions remain dangerous. If you don’t have to be on the roads, especially after dark, stay home. Flooded roadways can be difficult to see and can become life-threatening in an instant.
Water rescues are already underway in several areas, and there are reports of fatalities that officials are working to confirm.
Please take this flooding event seriously. Stay weather aware, never drive through high water, and help keep yourself and your loved ones safe.”
