Expecting any more from Russians would be like me expecting my dog to become Beethoven.

The age of fossil fuels is coming to an end too.  What the eff are Russians gonna contribute to the global economy in 30 years when the sh1t they scratch out of the ground isn't worth nearly as much as it is now and is only decreasing in value?  They are so done.

It's been nearly 50 years since Russians were at their peak power.  Historically many empires and such have gone from being great powers to being very weak and unstable, 50 years later.  Shyte, the Byzantines did it over and over again.  They would recapture a lot of territory with a competent ruler, then some incompetent ruler would replace a competent one after he died or their was a civil war or a string of incompetent leaders would follow a competent emperor and whatever gains were achieved by competence would all be squandered by incompetence.  This played out like this for many, many centuries.

If oil came from fossil fuels, we would have run out years ago,

Oil comes from the Earth. The research has been done on this.

I lack the patience to argue with stupid.

"Petroleum is a fossil fuel formed over millions of years from anaerobic decay of organic materials from buried prehistoric organisms, particularly plankton and algae. It is estimated that 70% of the world's oil deposits were formed during the Mesozoic, 20% were formed in the Cenozoic, and only 10% were formed in the Paleozoic.[2] Conventional reserves of petroleum are primarily recovered by drilling, which is performed after studying the relevant structural geology, analysis of the sedimentary basin, and characterization of the petroleum reservoir. There are also unconventional reserves such as oil sands and oil shale which are recovered using methods such as fracking."

Regardless where it comes from, oil and other natural resources they can scratch out of the ground is all Russia offers to the global economy.  Their brains offer no innovation or advancement.  They manufacture nothing anyone really wants.  Even Russian vodka is nothing special and no different or better than any other decent brand.  Name one good manufactured in Russia that you would like to buy because it is superior or more cost effective to buy compared to that made elsewhere.  There is none.

It's preordained, and absent massive societal transformation, Russia is screwed and only destined for further decline this century.  They are lucky they have decent farm land, so they won't starve, or else they'd become like a nuclear armed Haiti, just a lot bigger size geographically.

Nothing I can do about it.  I also don't care if people take pictures of me or video me when I am in public.  I'd only care if I was doing something I shouldn't be doing and it got me in trouble, in which case my thoughts would be I shouldn't have behaved like that, rather than saying someone shouldn't have filmed me behaving inappropriately.  It's all in my control, whether it becomes an issue or not.

Read the Constitution.

There are no prohibitions against people drawing pictures of you, taking pictures of you, or videoing you in public in the Construction.  What crazy sh1t do you do in public, that this concerns you so much?

I'd have to be drunk as eff for it to ever be an issue.  I've been drunk as eff many times and it's never been.  If it was a problem for me, the problem would be how I behave when drunk as eff, not that folks capture it on film. If it caused me trouble, them filming it wouldn't even be in the equation.  The focus for me would be my behavior, why I behaved like that, and how I need to do better or <gasp> quit alcohol.
