BREAKING: Trump ‘BOXED IN’ on Iran! MAGA senator admits on Fox News that Iran is playing “rope-a-dope” with negotiations – just running out the Clock!
In a stunning moment of inadvertent candor, Republican Sen. Tim Sheehy – heretofore a Trump loyalist – went on Fox & Friends and admitted what everyone with any power of observation already knew: Iran is playing Trump for a fool.
“What we’re seeing now is the rope-a-dope they usually perform, which is to buy time and try to lead us along until hopefully President Trump and his team’s out of office,” the former Navy SEAL said Monday.
“Rope-a-dope” is the famous boxing strategy Muhammad Ali used to beat George Foreman in the legendary “Rumble in the Jungle” – when leaned back on the ropes, absorbing Foreman’s punches while protecting himself until he was exhausted and Ali roared back to win.
Even Trump’s staunchest allies are now saying out loud Tehran is stringing the administration along, waiting for the midterms or the end of his term so they can walk away stronger.
All the while, Vice President JD Vance tries desperately to sell the latest “major milestone” in Switzerland while prominent Republicans like Ted Cruz, Tom Cotton, and others rip the deal apart and Trump himself undercuts it with profane threats to resume bombing.
Trump’s war of choice has wasted lives and countless treasure and destabilized the region, and resulted in a situation where the limits of American aggression are displayed in such sharp relief that even his usual loyalists aren’t buying the rhetoric, while Iran runs classic delay tactics.
Reminds us of the old Afghan adage that was referenced during talks with the Taliban: “You [Americans] have got the watches, but we’ve got the time.”
They sure do. And they know it, which is why they have been playing us like a fiddle. Republican senators know it too, and have become bold enough to say it on the record.
America needs competent leadership, not this embarrassing clown show that even MAGA insiders are starting to admit is failing.
Ali’s performance in Kinshasa back in 1974 cemented his reputation as “The Greatest.” Trump's performance with Iran is cementing something too -- his legacy as a failed president
