Jackson starts his campaign as Democratic candidate for Senate in Maine with populist message
I saw one recent college poll gave Jackson 3% lead over Collins but early and not sure trust college poll as much as say if was NBC and Collins trailed early last time she ran too
Collins said when elected she'd just stay couple terms now running for her 6th says her seniority is important

Maine Democrats officially select Troy Jackson to replace Graham Platner
The near-unanimous vote came at the end of a tumultuous weekslong process to pick their nominee, and one week after he dominated party conventions

But where Platner was frequently trying to make grand statements about reshaping the Democratic Party, Jackson has been laser-focused on Collins since his launch.

“For nearly 30 years, Susan Collins has told Maine that she’s concerned,” Jackson said in a short speech pitching himself to the delegates. “But concern does not lower the cost of groceries and gas.”

“Maine does not need six more years of concern,” he continued.

Collins has amassed $11 million in her campaign account, and there’s another $8.2 million in a super PAC supporting her.

Jackson, meanwhile, is not known to be a particularly strong fundraiser. He’s so far raised about $1 million dollars — roughly the same figure he raised in his entire failed gubernatorial run earlier this year.
(National focus on this race and Democrats trying to win back Senate I have to believe both sides will have lots of money)

Senate Leadership Fund, the top GOP Senate super PAC, immediately put out a six-figure ad buy with photos of Platner and Jackson campaigning together while highlighting reports on Jackson’s temper, and tying Jackson to his “decades as a political insider.”
I think been questions about some gifts Jackson received said to be improper(above limits) but not seen much about it yet
