Just got a word that my great nephew was hit by a car in Liverpool England. It was actually his fault. He ran out in the road without looking…. The lady that ran over him called what passes for 911 in England…. She put a blanket over him and waited with him in the middle of the road until the EMS people got there…. Then she followed them to the hospital…. She stayed there for four hours until his surgery was done….. It was a really bad open fracture of his right leg. The bone is sticking out…. Anyway, she stayed at the hospital with him until after the surgery was done and she could see that he was all right…. I don’t think they make people like that in America anymore….
Because the US legal system would seek to punish you for doing so. People have learned that.
