You need some big catfish in your life.

It's this lake.  I have never done good on it.  It's also very seasonal, from the research my son and I have both done independently, with the fish being at different depths and locations through the year.  Even if it is sunny v cloudy, they are more likely to be found at different locations.

My other son went to play poker with friends last night and didn't come.  He called when we were in the lake and asked if we had caught anything.  I said no.  He said big surprise.

I've never gone fishing for catfish.  Bullheads with a stinger when I was a kid.  I usually fish for bass and up north for walleye and northern. 

I did fly fishing with my son in Michigan a few years ago and that was fun.
