They are still doing so many things right.  I think China is gonna surpass us:

Too many Americans ignore what is best for us.  I don't make any money off of fossil fuels.  I don't own a coal mine or an oil field.  It's going to be better, cheaper, cleaner.  We may not even need power lines and all that infrastructure.  Eventually it will be so cheap and efficient, you can just have your own solar panels and batteries.  Some places are even covering parking lots with solar panels.  Batteries are getting better and better and so are panels.

"North Carolina, businesses like Green State Power have built large commercial canopies, including a 1 MW system in the Research Triangle Park area. Raleigh-Durham International Airport also uses solar canopies in its Park Economy 3 lot to power its own facilities."

It's the future.  We are behind the curve.
