 Delaware Sen. Chris Coons injured in multi-car crash, his office says
Coons was briefly hospitalized but is expected to make a full recovery.

“Earlier today, a Delaware driver experienced a medical incident and collided with several cars, including one in which Senator Coons was a passenger,” his office said in a statement. “Senator Coons was transported to Beebe Hospital and treated for minor injuries. He is now home and expected to make a full and swift recovery.”

The exact nature of his injuries were not disclosed.

Officials have also not yet released the status of the other people involved in the crash or where exactly it took place, but Coons’ office did thank the Lewes, Delaware Police Department and other nearby first responders.
