It's just self-sabotage and making yourself out to be a jerk.  There is something mentally wrong with him.  He could have just said I enjoyed spending time and visiting with her and left it that, which is what I would say in general if asked about anyone relevant and asked on tv about it, unless it was known I didn't like them (like Putin, lol).  It's just basic etiquette.  Dude is lucky he was born into money.  He'd never make it in the business world with how he treats others.
