Democratic Congresswoman Yassamin Ansari challenges Mike Johnson to face accountability by setting up a table outside his office and demanding he explain himself!
Fed up with the House Speaker’s continued refusal to end the shutdown, swear in Rep. Grijalva and release the Epstein files, the Arizona representative decided to take matters into her own hands and set up shop outside Johnson’s office with a table evocative of the famous “change my mind” meme.
“Millions of Americans have seen a lapse in their SNAP benefits. I was just home in Phoenix. And food bank lines are out the door because of this. Mike Johnson is complicit in all of this. He has completely abdicated not only his responsibility, but he's made the House of Representatives completely irrelevant!” said Ansari to the press.
“The Tuesday night election results prove that they are sick and tired of this corruption, sick and tired of a government by and for millionaires, and they’re sick and tired of Donald Trump playing with their lives. So I would hope that if Mike Johnson wants any chance of retaining the House next year, he’d take that into consideration and try to get things going.”
In response, Speaker Johnson pumped up the volume on his television to try to drown her out and later sent Capitol police to threaten her with arrest. A coward through and through, he is literally starving Americans in order to protect pedophiles, and we must never forget that. Kudos to Rep. Ansari for trying to force him to face the music!
