Voters unhappy with Trump
No picnic for Democrats either

NBC
Trump approval 43%
Disapproval 55%

Poll found 52% more blame Republicans and 42% more blame Democrats for shutdown, 4% equally.
NO lie. I saw Republican congressman the other day say By next November elections the shutdown will long be forgotten.
I disagree with that for people lost food stamps, lost government jobs during shutdown and lost health insurance I don't think it will be forgotten.

Republicans and Democrats both underwater but Democrats even few points higher at 68% unhappy with party. I think Republican was at 63%

Go figure.

Poll on generic ballot for control of Congress

50% favored Democrat
42% Republican

But

Who are you voting for?
It was only a 2% lead for Democrats

What is clearly true and what international law says
You know Trump says these are dangerous people
In first Trump administration people would be arrested and put on trial(due process)
Now when anybody survives a boat attack they are not.
They are sent to another country and never arrested and tried.
Wants to just say enemy combatant(defined by Trump) and therefore no legal rights.

He's even told Congress he doesn't have to justify it to them. Link about that. Well yes he does. Congress is one passes law authorizing stuff like Afghanistan and Iraq wars and doesn't fall under it. The other route is legal process-arrest and try them and he doesn't do that.

UN accuses US of breaching international law with deadly airstrikes on boats in Caribbean and Pacific
The attacks have killed over 60 people, according to U.S. officials.

LEXINGTON, Kentucky — Martha Layne Collins, the first and only woman elected governor of Kentucky, died on Saturday. She was 88.

The Democrat’s most visible legacy is a sprawling Toyota auto assembly plant — arguably the biggest industrial plum of its day and the linchpin of her economic-development strategy. She also worked for years to overhaul the state’s public education system.

“When I became governor, you have lots of priorities, but when I’d sit down and think about it, education always came back as the first thing you have to start with,” the former teacher explained in a 1992 interview with the Nunn Center for Oral History at the University of Kentucky. “I feel like I made an impact in education and bringing in new jobs; I hope we made the people of Kentucky feel good about themselves.”

Collins served as governor from 1983 to 1987, at a time when Kentucky governors were limited to single terms.

Then finally I did enjoy World Series
Understandably liking Dodgers. Reds are National League too which is our nearest MLB team.
But also remembering Johnny Padres of Dodgers World Series fame that in his early days in Los Angeles Dodgers organization before he became a major league player spent some time in Class A minor league ball for Hazard Bombers pitching here.

Couple games weren't close.
I watched a lot of 18 inning marathon. About all of the extra innings in 6 hour 39 minute game Dodgers won and looked to be in good shape.
In a series I reckon no home team won a game.

Last game really good come from behind win
Yamamoto pitching for win in 3 games. Complete game in Game 2, Game 6 and then next final night pitching last 2 2/3 innings.
LA hit a solo home run Will Smith in 11th for 5-4 lead and it held up.
Toronto had lead off double, then sacrifice bunt to 3rd, hit batter and became 1st and 3rd with 1 one but next guy hit into routine double play outs at 2nd and 1st.

"Lost" govt jobs? As far as I can tell a lot of people lost their jobs because Trump fired them out of spite..

You once said that Sally was team R, where politically is she now?
We had some actual discussions about REPUBLICAN policies. I pointed out that the benefits she just received came monthly from Democrats. I told her how her friend Lucy who lost 100 pounds on Zepbound can't get it anymore because the REPUBLICANS overruled the governor here and the drug can no longer be administered for weight loss ...only if you have diabetes... Poor Lucy has already regained 45 lb.. pennywise and pound foolish.. the money America spends on obesity related health issues is staggering.. so our Republican friends make it harder to get it here for people who can't lose weight... We will just go ahead paying through the ass for people to be treated for weight related issues.. some posters here who I will not mention... I think have orgasms every time somebody's denied help in this country...

President Trump has to noon Monday today to tell court how going to issue full or partial food stamps.
For 42 million Americans on SNAP benefits. Already days into November with people not getting monthly allotment.
2 courts ruled against him. Both clearly saying to extent can use contingency funds Congress authorized be used for situations like this though never happened related to shutdown before this being longest full shutdown in history and now day 34 with 35 being record for partial shutdown.

So when Trump says looks at how can help and asking court how to do it remember this the court told him to tell them how he was going to comply with ruling.

Neither court bought nonsense that gee there's no appropriation for it I'd like to help but I can't. No he's trying to put pressure on Democrats to cave in to him. Saying mostly Democrats on food stamps. Really?
I beg to disagree. A heck of lot of his red states get heck of lot of food stamp benefits people often voted for him. Remember he was going to bring down prices starting on Day 1.

Also when he says by law he can't use it since his claim it's not appropriated remember this He himself has for other things under saw law found money to fund appropriations in instances where he wanted to-WIC and for military.
Reminds me of the people who continually say that most people who get help with food are Black. In point of fact most people who get EBT cards are White. A goodly percentage of people who get welfare benefits in my state are in fact not Democrats. Also I believe there isn't enough money in the contingency funds to pay everyone for one month to get help with food. You know we are talking about food here this is incredible... There's a lot of pent up anger out here...
