Maybe we are a virus to earth Researchers in Denmark did research to create a map to show how a world without humans would have significantly more large mammals distributed around the world. What the world would look like without humansThe Oceans would definitely also be more diverse as it is estimated that a staggering 0.97-2.7 trillion wild fish are caught globally each year. This equates to a lot more fish in the ocean !On top of that, the earth would be a ton greener as it is estimated that about 3 billion to 6 billion trees are cut down each year meaning that as tree density in primary forests varies from 50,000-100,000 trees per square km, which equates to about 80000 square kilometers of extra green on the earth each year! The earth is about 510.1 million km² which is a lot more than 80000 but as 71 percent of the earths surface is water, this means that an extra 0.0220890132% of the Earth’s land is getting greener by trees alone (imagine how much land would be covered in grass) !
