It's been so long since I graduated high school. I'm not sure how to negotiate these situations anymore.

I went for the gold this time. i ordered the "buy 4, get one free" jars of gummies. They were supposed to arrive today via US Mail. But the mail lady came and went, no gummies. Damn. This whole transaction needs to take place when my wife is away so I don't have to have the "grown man eating gummies" conversation.

For the past several years, certain groups and individuals seem to have been creating a checklist of other groups they dislike and want to hurt. First, it as the Muslims: “Keep them out of the country!” Next, came the Mexicans: “Build the wall! “Build the wall!” This was followed by the Blacks Live Matter “rioters” who had the nerve to protest unarmed African-Americans being killed by the police.
And now it’s the Asian-Americans’ turn, though I can’t believe the friendly owner of my local Asian restaurant is responsible for COVID-10. And how about the Jews? Remember “The Jews will not replace us” – as if they would want to?
Then there are the transsexuals, whose very existence is considered a crime by various politicians.
Well, who is going to be next? Native Americans? Oh, I forgot, they were originally at the top of the list. Maybe now’s the time to get back at them for General Custer while finally telling them to go back to where they came from. What about the Eskimos? You never can tell what those igloo-huggers are up to.
In the end it doesn’t matter if they are included with others or not because, when you come down to it, that haters’ checklist is endless.

Is the AstraZeneca vaccine even being given in the US?
My understanding is that it's 76% effective__I had the Pfizer, for which the effectiveness is reported to be in the mid 90's range with only mild side affects after the first dose and a chance for more severe side affects after the second. I had mild side effects, wife was hurting for three days.
Problem is that about half of Republican men surveyed are refusing the vaccine altogether which will delay "herd immunity."
Certainly many of those surveyed were lying but it's still a real problem for the greater good.

I got the Pfizer yesterday. It was nothing. In and out in 10 minutes. No side effects at all.

They can't because kids aren't old enough for some of the vaccines but I believe they are working on one for kids younger than 16.

Actually kids have a better immunity than most of us. Some kids aren't old enough or due to them being special needs and having compromised systems they can't. It is up to adults to get vaccinated.
