Just noticed you're back to Mannix! I love Steve McGarrett in Hawaii Five-O too!

 ;)
I was reading about the problems they had. I guess Zulu (as Kono) left the series in a disgruntled huff.

Pretty shrewd. I pay like a hundred and thirty bucks a month for cable and the only thing I can stand watching is 50 year old re-runs at two in the morning.

I am a fan of those 50+ year old shows you bring up as well. Was too young to appriciate their value at that time particularly in the case of Hawaii Five O. Good shows that captures the essence of the modern times of when they werre filmed...

I vaguely remember them, but never actually watched them.

I have a  job tomorrow.  I guess it won't work to take a few short gigs here and there to make a little money and get out of the house. If they stay small and easy, I don't mind.  I don't think I ever want to work full time again.

I was 10 when it started...1968. I had a huge crush on Detective McGarrett.

I only remember watching Flipper, Gentle Ben, The Undersea World of Jaques Cousteau and the Disney movies on Sunday night.

We spent a lot of time outside when I was a kid; a lot more time than kids today spend outside.  We didn't have internet or phones.

Where do you live?  The AstraZeneca shot is not even available in the US yet, next month at the earliest
Canada. You don't want atsrazeneca. It is dangerous. Even India might stop using it.

"LANSING, Mich. (AP) — Michigan, which not long ago had one of the country's lowest COVID-19 infection rates, is confronting an alarming spike that some experts worry could be a harbinger nationally.

In what public health authorities across the U.S. have been warning for months might happen around the country, the resurgence is being fueled by loosened restrictions, a more infectious variant and pandemic fatigue."

If people would just accept the restrictions and deal with this thing, we could get it over sooner.  As soon as they started vaccinating, people started acting like  the pandemic had already ended.

found this

The hate list

For the past several years, certain groups and individuals seem to have been creating a checklist of other groups they dislike and want to hurt.  First, it as the Muslims: “Keep them out of the country!”  Next, came the Mexicans: “Build the wall!  “Build the wall!”  This was followed by the Blacks Live Matter “rioters” who had the nerve to protest unarmed African-Americans being killed by the police.

And now it’s the Asian-Americans’ turn, though I can’t believe the friendly owner of my local  Asian restaurant is responsible for COVID-10.  And how about the Jews?  Remember “The Jews will not replace us”  –  as if they would want to?

Then there are the transsexuals, whose very existence is considered a crime by various politicians.

Well, who is going to be next?  Native Americans?  Oh, I forgot, they were originally at the top of the list.  Maybe now’s the time to get back at them for General Custer while finally telling them to go back to where they came from.  What about the Eskimos?  You never can tell what those igloo-huggers are up to.

In the end it doesn’t matter if they are included with others or not because, when you come down to it, that haters’ checklist is endless.
That’s a good read... thanks for this.
