We were talking about where I was from at that thing I went to.  The one guy really liked Chicago.

I guess we are meeting just for drinks and appetizers once a month.
I only know two people from Chicago and one of them is a real asshole.

Maine Democrats’ top official accuses Platner team of trying to play kingmaker
The beleaguered Senate nominee has yet to drop out, but his party and his rivals are operating as if he will.

-----
The Maine Democratic Party’s top official accused Senate nominee Graham Platner’s team late Tuesday of trying “to put their thumb on the scale” of the process to find his replacement, even though the scandal-plagued candidate has yet to withdraw.

State party Executive Director Devon Murphy-Anderson posted Tuesday night that party officials have been working on a plan for how to select Platner’s replacement if and when he finally heeds the near-universal calls to drop out over sexual assault accusations.

“The integrity of this process is just as important as the outcome, and we are committed to ensuring that Democrats across our state can have confidence in both,” she said in the video post.

“Unfortunately, Graham Platner’s team has repeatedly reached out to us in an attempt to put their thumb on the scale of what this process looks like. We have repeatedly reiterated to Graham Platner’s team that they have no role in determining our next Democratic nominee for the U.S. Senate, nor in determining what this process looks like.

“We have also reiterated that Graham Platner must drop out of this race, so that Democrats in Maine can focus on defeating Susan Collins this November.

“We look forward to making this process public as soon as Graham Platner formally withdraws.”

White House dismisses birthright citizenship irony in Balogun case

I mentioned that. Couldn't have played for US unless was. Mom was too sick, too far along in pregnancy to fly back home before he was born.

According to the striker's ESPN profile from 2023, Balogun was born in New York City because his mother, who was born in Nigeria but living in London at the time, could not board a flight back home due to how far along she was in her pregnancy.

Balogun and his mother returned to the United Kingdom shortly after his birth, with the striker, a U.S. citizen by birth, eventually deciding to play for the United States men's national team.
Trump probably wants to revoke his citizenship now.
