We'll see what Trump does.

Passed 85-5 in Senate. Overwhelming majorities to override if Trump chooses that route

Johnson sends landmark housing bill to Trump for signature
The bill could become law around July 10, unless the president signs or vetoes the housing legislation.

Still jumping on McConnell who as far as I know still in hospital. Was last week when Trump jumped on him for not voting his way on a bill when he wasn't voting on any bill

Please don't count the votes. Anything but votes. We'll lose if people's votes are counted
Glad to see Justice Barrett wrote majority opinion

Trump doubles down on SAVE America Act after Supreme Court loss on mail voting
The president’s desire for a signature elections bill has all but frozen Hill Republicans’ agenda.

“In light of the tremendous loss in the Supreme Court today concerning Voter’s Rights, and the fact that ‘people’s’ votes are allowed to be counted LONG AFTER an Election is over, it is more important than ever to pass THE SAVE AMERICA ACT,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

The president has fixated on the SAVE America Act, even as some Senate Republicans insist the legislation simply does not have enough votes. Trump called out five senators as “Hold Outs” on the bill, naming Sens. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska), Susan Collins (R-Maine), Thom Tillis (R-N.C.), Bill Cassidy (R-La.) and Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.).

Monday’s ruling upheld a Mississippi law allowing election officials to count mail-in ballots received up to five days after Election Day. A bipartisan mix of over a dozen states allow at least some ballots that arrive after Election Day to still be counted so long as they are postmarked before then. More states extend that grace period to certain military and overseas voters.

Trump has advocated for severely restricting mail voting, which he has claimed without evidence is responsible for widespread fraud.

The Trump administration has also sought to empower the Postal Service to withhold ballots if states don’t hand over their voter rolls, though an executive order instructing the agency to do so was batted down by a federal judge.

A core tenet of the SAVE America Act, according to the president, would be to drastically limit when voting by mail is available to citizens with few exceptions, alongside requiring voters to present photo identification and proof of citizenship.

BREAKING: HAHAHAHA! Fox News gets busted using footage of World Cup fans and pretending that it’s the crowd for Trump’s disastrous Great Fair of America that NOBODY went to!
This is beyond pathetic…
In a desperate attempt to gaslight the American people into thinking Donald Trump’s big event was more successful than it actually was, Fox News showed footage of people sitting with the caption STATE FAIR SURPRISE.
But a cursory examination makes it immediately clear that this is NOT Trump’s 250th anniversary fair – this is a FIFA World Cup fan zone held elsewhere in Washington, D.C.
It says so right on top of the screen.
We can’t say we’re surprised, but this is really a new low for Fox News. Anything to help protect poor Donnie’s widdle ego, right?

It is not new, not an accident, and not a new low. This is standard practice for fox and has been since they started broadcasting.

New York Stock Exchange opening bell to be rung from Oval Office for Trump Accounts launch

The New York Stock Exchange will be opened from the Oval Office next week to mark the opening of Trump Accounts, White House economic adviser Kevin Hassett said Monday.

“We’re having a big opening bell ceremony next week where Nasdaq and the New York Stock Exchange are going to ring the bell from the Oval for the first time together, and they’re doing that to celebrate the accounts,” Hassett, the director of the National Economic Council, said on CNBC.

Families will be able to start contributing to the accounts — which would provide parents of children born between 2025 and 2028 with $1,000 to invest — on July 4.

Hassett praised the accounts, which he said give every child born in the US “a stake in the game,” and suggested there’d be a political effect as well.

“It’s basically, I think, hard to be a socialist if you have capital, and so my view is that the political effect of this dynamic is going to be enormous,” Hassett said.

I know Barr will win but I voted for a Democrat which closed primary I could only vote for Democrat but to be counted everybody in state not MAGA

Only trump, and the republican party, could ruin the nation's 250th birthday.
