I see for a few years now the Weather Channel decided to name Winter storms like they name hurricanes but the NWS and other agencies do not acknowledge storms by name. I am not a fan of that either but guess that is so everyone in that storms path knows the origin of the storm hitting them, I dunno.

No snow here in Texas, but we are going to have some cold weather this weekend....well, cold for Texas anyway. Overnight lows in the 30’s.
