I know you've done plenty to encourage others to join us here. I'm not a member of any other boards so I can't solicit posters. I know most people do like and/or need to sleep. I'm sometimes up in the middle of the night but it's not by choice and like so many others, my day starts early in the morning.

On Topix, posters came from different time zones so it was often easy to see everything moving in what we here in the Eastern Time Zone consider the middle of the night. In addition, Topix had at least 100,000 registered posters and probably twice as many unregistered posters. We don't have that many. We aren't even close.

Hopefully, things will pick up as time goes on and we can get this place rocking at all hours. Until then, let's hope everyone can find their little niche where and when they feel most comfortable.

Yeah, the nerve of Pete expecting us to posts and not get paid. Hahahaha. Have a good day ICNO, not sure how many days of school you have left but we are under 100 here with one day so far to make up.

I'm not at school this year. I have a totally different position and actually, physically, being at a school is rare. However, we have not missed any days that have to be made up as of yet.

That is cool and congrats on the new position. I an sure it is better sometimes than being at school but I bet the kids miss having you as a teacher as you seem to have cared about them.

later, we all want instant gratification but that ain't going to happen. I mostly
play the word games and there are enough here to keep me busy. I don't control
a single person on this forum other than myself and I sure can't control when they
post on here. It is what it is and lets make the most of it.

Indeed. I have had to drastically cut back on internet time since Louis's birth.  I use this site,FB and sometimes YT. Have not used Twitter in weeks. I simly ost when i can and try to keep up. This or other social media  are not a priority. They are simply fun past times.

Exactly and I think like ICNO where people posted from different time zones on Topix, it is hard to say what time zones people are in and when they should and shouldn't posts. Pete also said posts and people will reply if they want. I am waiting for friends to show up and then I will be gone for a while this morning.

I'm curious because it says your post was made at 2:24 AM but you stated it was 11:50. Perhaps there's a difference in the time zones?

However, even at 11:50 many people would be ready for bed on a Sunday night because of work on Monday and we all know how Mondays are. BLAH!!

Hopefully, things will pick up before much longer. Pete can't exactly go out and drag people in here to post. LOL I remember when Topix was alive, I knew who would be on at what time and it was almost like clockwork.

I got no beef, I know this place does not have even close to what Topix has but it is fine with me. it does has features Topix did not. There is a good crowd here for this such board I feel.. It is not like Pete bought Topix and running it himself, this aint Topix, just former participants of the forum and more will come, I noticed Misty Fitch found it, had not spoken to her in a few years. Others will show.

After Beliche k era, they will go back to wandering around and some other team will show up every year...

And one more thing..... I heard Topix had to close because their Moderators were gonna strike for higher wages and more benefits.

I really didn't care, Weepy. I'm neither a Rams nor a Pats fan. I was just pulling for the Rams because I was certain NE would win. I do think they're an awesome team but at the end of the day, I'm a Broncos fan. However, my real love is with the Bengals.

That is the same way with me, Icno, 90% of Super Bowls do not involve a team that I feel partial too, I pull for the Panthers, used to pull for Redskins, I do watch the rest of the NFL too as objectively as possible.

I didn't care who won. I saw several comment on news sites that it was not a very exciting game and commercials were not great. Bring on May 4.
