Does anyone know whats safe to sedate a cat. Its my last resort in catching him. He is a wild ferral cat, and I cant get close to him or her.

Please help Rocky. Thanks in advance.

How do you sedate a cat for catching?

Acepromazine. Acepromazine causes sedation and some anxiety relief. It may be given as an injection in the veterinary clinic, or acepromazine pills may be sent home. Acepromazine is often used as a cat sedative for travel, or given 30-60 minutes prior to a veterinary visit.Jun 18, 2021

Are you planning on bringing the cat inside and taming it or taking it to the vet? They make safe traps to catch feral cats…that might be the better option.

Try putting some food in the trap. I don’t know if sedating a feral cat is a good idea. Once it wakes up….it might attack you….so be careful Jackie.

Always put food in trap. Don't work.
Attack me. No way. I asked a vet to send me a med. But they won't. Something gotta knock this cat out. I'm getting desperate.

Me too the clock is ticking. Soon new people will be living there, and I wont be allowed in the yard anymore.
