You're exactly right. We should be getting along but that doesn't mean that I'm required to sit back and be treated like dirt by an ingrate for the sake of getting along.
I understand. I’ll move along now.
Have a good evening.

Hi Pete! I have a question since I read some people are using phones, some pads & desktops. I am using a chrome book in full mode. Last night I was up late in bed and grabbed my phone which usually displays Topix also in full mode like my pad, but instead last night my phone somehow switched over from full mode to phone mode which looked entirely different. So today I was trying to figure it out and when I scrolled the page all the way to the bottom and in lower right hand corner I found a button to switch back into the full mode. Now I cannot find how in the world to switch into phone mode. Any suggestions on how to switch between the two over phone? Thank you in advance!

Android
Open a new tab in chrome and navigate to a website. Tap the overflow button and check the box next to "Request desktop site". Chrome will load the desktop site. To return to the mobile site, open this same menu and uncheck the box next to "Request desktop site"

That picture of peanuts reminds me of that peanut bowl at a bar, I never eat them, you just don't know where other peoples fingers have been when you share that peanut bowl.

I've tried that - double-clicked as well.
It just won't work.

I don't want Pete to disable the smiley/pictorial symbols for anyone.
Members enjoy it.
Please, reinstate it Pete for the member's personal enjoyment.

I'll utilize outside features that Prince taught me when I choose to use such when posting.
Thank You for the kind comments.

I don't know if you saw my post in the other thread, but dragging and dropping is the only way that I can utilize the smileys.

Hello, Der Fuehrer.
I've tried that with no luck.
I've created enough fussin' over this that it actually drove me crazy for some time and, perhaps, some others in the process too.

I can utilize other outside sources that offer me links back onto Pete's forum, and I'm grateful for that option.
It's just the "internal" pictorial symbols here that do not work.

Thank You for your kind assistance.

Here is something you may want to try. Take your pointer down on the task bar where nothing is there and right click on it and scroll up to where it says "show touch keyboard button" and left click on it with your mouse to choose it. Now you will see a keyboard icon down in the bottom right corner of your screen left click on it with your mouse to bring up the on screen keyboard. So now to your bottom left you will see a smiley face click on it and you will see lots of emojis to explore. Oh yeah, another thing you will see a settings type icon up in the top left corner of the on screen keyboard to adjust the layout how you want the keyboard to look like.

Thank You Prince for your feedback.
I did what you suggested some time ago and I was able to post a few smileys back onto this forum with that suggestion of yours.
However, they were disabled again shortly afterwards on Pete's Forum.
I run Windows 10 same as Pete - internally, his works fine on the forum, mine does not.
I did a BIOS update, but still have to utilize outside sources to use any smileys of any sort on his forum.

Are you familiar with the Cortana settings with windows 10?
Could it be my Cortana or ABP settings which I've set both to extreme privacy without any third-party tracking that perhaps is causing the problem?

Either way, I'm content with the outside sources that are readily available to me that you taught me.
It is a bit of a hassle having to open up a second window to choose such, however, when choosing to attach to my posts.

But, I do appreciate your time with this issue and I thank you for your continued guidance, because it still appears that I am the only registered member here that is unable to access the "internal smileys" while posting on Pete's Forum.

Hey, great directions, I found the PC keyboard, the mac is easier to find this and the mac doesn't have all these icon faces. Now how to use them on this site. Getting there. Thanks again.
