I don't see anything on your profile settings that indicates you can't send or receive PMs. What kind of message are you getting?

Both you and Pete didn't see anything in my personal settings either that would indicate my inability to utilize the smiley and pictorial forum here like ALL other registered posters here utilize (that Sly slammed me for) whining he called it, rather than seeking a solution.
It just wasn't important enough to resolve such, because it didn't affect him or any other posters personally when posting.
But, yet any of you are to come back here with a solution for those members that it still doesn't work for and for the reasons I stated as above (it's a clique here from Topix1 that's carried over into Pete's Revival) and that will never change, either..

No worries, I found a solution all on my own without this forum's help.
It's a dog eat dog world here - it's proven here, and daily when I do choose to visit..

What does purple stars mean on a person's profile?
That was for the private board member group that I was working on but
have had to put on hold because of last nights trouble.3 people had joined hence
they had the blue stars.

How can I resolve a problem on your end? If it was a forum problem then no one would have the
smileys . What's sad is you demanding I fix your problem.

Could someone try it and make sure it works now, I can't because it never was off for me.

Yes, it's working now, thank you!

It's not a problem on my end.
YOU deactivated my use of such - end of story.
I don't demand you fix anything - it was done on my own without any help from the Administrator of this Forum, namely, YOU.
Take a bow, Pete.

You were asked what kind of message you were getting.  Your only response to that was this??
How the hell can they even fix the problem with this kind of attitude in your response?  I'm scratching my head.

IslandGurl, may I ask if you are using quick reply?  That is an option in your settings where you bypass the smileys.

Mark, stay out of this - you don't know the history, and it doesn't affect you personally.
I asked for a solution to this a month ago - I'm still waiting for one, but since it doesn't affect anyone else, it's of little importance to anyone else here.
So, don't expect my attitude to change as a result of such.

Okay Folks, Sorry for the delay in responding. I've been out and busy this afternoon. Yes Der, part of the problem stems from Pete trying to fix some of the problems Sprocket created. Unfortunately, Pete also has many pressing things to attend to as well and his internet keeps going out so he can't devote 100% of his time to this. I'm sure he'll have it all fixed and back to normal as soon as he can.

My apologies to everyone trying to PM. Hopefully nothing was a life or death situation. Please try to be patient. Also..... Please keep in mind, Pete created this forum for everyone to enjoy. He gets nothing, nada, zilch, for maintaining this place. He received no compensation for creating it. He did this for you, so that you'd have a place to gather and keep in touch with the friends you previously made on Topix and hopefully find new friends. It's not, nor has it ever been, his intention to cause grief or turmoil for anyone.

I'm not quite as patient or tolerant as Pete. I resent the fact that you would find it an inconvenience to have to occasionally wait for something you want. I resent the fact that you feel the need to bellyache and complain each and every single time something doesn't go your way.

I'm sorry if that sounds rude or if it hurt your feelings but please put yourself in Pete's Place. (No pun intended) He has a job, a family, and a life of his own. He has devoted every spare moment he has to this place and allowing you the privilege of posting here.

Keep your panties on and your overwrought emotions in check. The problems will be worked out as soon as humanly possible. If you want to leave because you're unable to send a personal message right this minute, how many did you send prior to being allowed the privilege of joining here?

Rant over for the moment.....
I really was only concerned about what happened and wasn’t looking for any special treatment, or rant, as I know Pete has a lot on his plate, so I am mindful of those facts and knew it would take time for the situation to be dealt with. So I offer my apology if one is needed.

I wasn’t looking for all this.

Good evening to ya.

Hello, DeJa Blue.
I've never used quick reply in my responses.
I just wish to have fun using smiley/pictorial symbols in my responses like every other member here.
But, as such it's disabled..

So the comment box you type in is empty or are the smileys visible above the box?

Hello, IslandGurl.
I thought that perhaps this was already settled when Prince offered his suggestions.
I don’t know how to fix that problem, but are you running Microsoft, or Mac?

Yes, they are visible and above the box.
I choose one - copy & paste - but, they won't apply to any of my posts.
I've since utilized outside sources as Prince suggested, and they work on the forum with no problem.

Thank You for your help and kindness, DeJa.
